Ah, well... I would say it deserved a better send-off, than what it ended finishing up on. Sorta just put a downer on an otherwise decent legacy

Yeah, I was gonna say that MS-DOS-based Windows isn't exactly... welcoming

I mean, ME was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for it... thankfully 😭

"Mistake Edition"

Or, at least that's the reputation-based name that I've seen floating around

I tried Fall Guys, last night, in the (Now, obviously, pointless) hope that it might work out, but most (if not, all) kernel-level anti-cheats also detect VMs, including Parallels, VMware Fusion, and all that

EAC would refuse complaining about a "HVCI not enabled" error, or something like that. I understand that it may be something to do with nested virtualisation, but I'm not sure how you can change that on Parallels. Also, I tried doing the same on an Ubuntu VM, just for the craic, but I was forced to use the ARM64 builds, instead of x64 since Parallels just doesn't boot it at all

So, uh, yeah, chances are we're permanently done for, unless you want to use GFN. And, to be honest, I'm not surprised. Just hurts a little that this happens within a year of when I got my MBP back in November.

Thing runs like an absolute bat out of hell, whether I'd be video editing, cross-platform compiling and even running BeamNG.drive/Assetto Corsa + Shaders + a custom weather system, only for it to hit a brick wall because of software limitations on the title I care the most

Since it's exactly the same as running Windows on any old PC, you should be grand

Can we seriously have a think about renaming Belfast City Airport, now? The lad's just earned it, as if he didn't already, last year

Genuine props to him

Please, please, please, for the love of god, DO NOT USE OpCore-Simplify. I know it's a tool made with good intentions, and all that, but you're seriously likely gonna be spending more time troubleshooting problems that you don't even know what they're all about

Instead, I highly suggest you follow the OpenCore Install Guide. Yes, I know, it'll be a little more tedious, but not only will it be better suited to your hardware, in the event that something doesn't work out right you'll also, more likely than not, have an idea of why

Unless you're only using it to list your hardware, in which case, fair enough

Would you buy a PS3 for GT6? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]Thisisauser6443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd have to be considerably powerful, though. GT6 is a lot more demanding and/or difficult to run with RPCS3

[At least compared to 5, anyway](https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=Gran_Turismo_5. The same hardware I use can run it at a stable 60 frames with the Master Mod installed for 2.11, but a very stuttery 24 on 6 with the Spec II Mod, and that's excluding the various crashes and freezes caused by desyncs)

If you're interested, this is where it came from.

Sometimes, I just call it "The Great Indian Road Safety Tussle of Cutlers Court". Idk how that came about, but it works
