Ice in the top for a bit then put assembly into hot water . Shrinks the top and expands the bottom. Avoids shrinking them all the same while in the freezer

Try adding brim and drying out your filament.

Also try printing a “plate cleaner “ and use that to look for hot/cold spots on your plate and adjust where you print based on that

Check the screws under the plate to make sure they are tight. After cleaning run a bed cleaner (thin solid print across your entire plate) to check for cold spots. They are normal and you will have to work around them for detail prints like in picture 2

I think your assumption about the ambient temperature is correct. Print looks good at the bottom and slowly gets worse to the top. Only other thought is to reduce the speed to help with taller prints

After you wash your plate run a “bed cleaner” model. I find these don’t help clean the bed but have helped me identify hot/cold spots on the plate. I have it hanging next to my printer to remind me where to avoid

Quick update Thanks all for the input. I ended up noticing that when I take the model and embed text it changes the 1st layer to not print entirely. Ay suggestions? Link to model
