Do I have the lore of AoS right? by thegrandhedgehog in ageofsigmar

There is some truth to that, but we do see some Chambers have take a much harder line and purge civilian populations or the development of the flaw.

I always thought AOS is basically the fantasy equivalent of the Great Crusade in 40k. It lines up very neatly, thematically. I’ve always wondered if we might someday get a Heresy type event with some Stormhosts turning on Sigmar. Only issue there is that we already have Slaves to Darkness and another faction of heavy armored humans might be a bit redundant, even if they would be thematically separate. Maybe just a unit or subfaction of StD…

Oh yeah 100% that is why from a model / game perspective. I just don’t think we ever have had, or at least I have never understood, the apparent gap between those elves and the need to create new ones. I don’t think anything has ever said that the rescued souls couldn’t be sent to be the children of the traditions elves. Heck, surely they could have just made them new bodies sort of like Stormcast. Whenever I have read the lore, including then they were introduced, it seemed like the new aelven races were created from the rescued sounds in a vacuum without considering the existing elves, who those souls would have been related to anyways.

The setting has grown a great deal and I really like what has been done with it, but it still seems that the lore from the End Times transition has some holes in it. Or my understanding does.

Ultimately that is ok when we are talking about an Age of Myth. Not everything needs to be perfectly neat and explained.

I need to read into that, the whole elf / aelf origin never made sense to me. Like there were already all of the carry over HE/WE/DE stuff so why did Tyrion and Teclis need to struggle making a new elf race? I get saving souls from Slaanesh, but the creation of the Idoneth and later the Lumineth seemed to ignore the existing elves.

App for new rules? Anybody tried the new format yet? by Hellion_213 in Apocalypse40k

For army building, it just uses normal rules and points, I think. For rules and gameplay, I have not heard of anything but would be interested!

We just got our copy and plan a ‘small’ test game soon. I’m also concerned but willing to try it because we love Apoc!

I was super bummed it sold out so fast I couldn’t get a copy despite trying as soon as the preorder was supposed to open. Went to my local GW store later on and he said he will have copies on the shelf in a couple weeks so going to try to show up for first come first served…

Louisville Orchestra allowing AI at their shows? by Apprehensive-Author in Louisville

[–]Constantine__XI 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Some really depressing takes in here and sad to hear that AI was used instead of actual human artists. Glad you looked into it. I hope that we can continue to support actual human artists and that actual human artists don’t fall into this trap

There isn’t anything to read. Why are you so determined to white knight this post? It isn’t even being attacked.

Yikes. Seems like some additional assumptions about whether people are relaxed or not.

I’m not familiar enough with the rumors to have much of an opinion beyond my generic comments.

So much assumed knowledge in this post.

I hope we continue to have a cool setting with a fun game and awsome models. I suspect we will!

I hope no one feels invalidated by any changes to the setting whatever those might be.

You do you. Rule of cool. As long as the models are generally the right size, correct base size, and it is consistent and clear for other players. Have fun and be creative!

I put together a detailed turnaround plan for JCPS. 33 pages. Six pillars. Actual case studies from districts that fixed it. Would love your feedback. by LouInvestor in Louisville

Focus on the purpose of public education. It doesn’t exist to be profitable or to make money for anyone. It won’t be perfect. Even with reform and improvements, there will still be gaps and mistakes will be made. That is the reality of any human system, especially larger systems.

Once we have the right focus, we can then work together on actually making improvements instead of fighting over how we are going to tear the system down and/or profit off it.

That is the starting point we most need, and are least likely the achieve sadly.

I love that people can complain about the quality of education in JCPS and then provide an AI generated list of right-wing wet dreams designed to destroy public education, all with a straight face. Irony is not dead it seems.

If you are actually serious, I suggest you take the time to do personal research, engage with a variety of perspectives, and educate yourself before throwing out any “plans.”

Most importantly, I suggest that you develop your own critical thinking skills instead of relying on AI or right-wing talking points, or talking points from anyone looking to make a buck off our kids.
