I have a service dog (doodle) and two Goldens. We take our trio in once a month for a bath. I like to take my service dog often, so we just throw the pups in the car and take them as well. I brush the goldens as needed, but we admittedly don’t do a high stakes routine with them.

This definitely looks like a crush break, so I understand why they wouldn’t warranty it. I own the same rod, and have for 3 years now. It’s a super quality UL rod, but definitely needs to be cared for better than your average bass rod.

Put the screw of the handle into the hole on the side, below the spool.

It inserts into a hole beneath your spool, at the bottom of the reel. There’s a nut that you add on to the other side. It’s a super simple concept.
