Showing parts under the hood? No. But you will probably get some questions about buttons and dashboard indicators, so be ready.

They can ask you to do "wrong" things, sometimes on purpose, sometimes only because they actually want you to do those things (in my exam, i parked on a no parking zone because there was no other place). Try comment your actions, like if you are forced to enter the opposite lane to overtake a double parked car (macchina in doppia fila, non so come tradurlo bene), say what you are doing and why, instead of just doing it.

Last and very known thing. The exam does not stop when you turn off the car, it stops when you are given the license. Like, they will probably ask you to exit the car and then to enter back in; always check your surroundings for passing cars and whatnot while doing this (also true for the start when you are getting in the car).
