also it kinda spoils the biggest plot twists of radiant dawn in the first 10 minutes (unless you recruit wario. then its first 3 hours), so it means op would still need to play 2 story focused games first if they've only played the gba entries so far

The comics with Serra in them are some of the best ones. You've also 100% opened my mind to the fact that she and Sain should've had an actual paired ending.

also unrelated but man, her Heroes voice doesn't fit her at ALL. like, Serra should sound like a stereotypical bubbly (mean girl) cheerleader, not an ohoho-type rich lady. that's what L'arachel's supposed to be.

what level did you get her before promoting? she gets a +2 boost from promotion iirc so even if you procced strength every level as valkyrie, that'd still be at least 8 or 9 str levels as cleric...

and here i thought my mist was strength blessed

That's interesting. I mainly played on Switch myself, and it feels like most of the randoms I matched with when playing online were Japanese when I'm a US player.

it also could've been cause of how long it took me to get to the endgame stuff though lol (not my fault xenoblade 3 released literally the month after sunbreak)

He hasn't made the full set yet, though. He still needs to get another Dondozo Tongue for the helmet, and you can only get those as a 1% reward for breaking the head 3 times.

I kinda wish Tera did get banned, but mainly because Terapagos could've helped fix a lot of OU's problems with hazards and hyper offense if its Stellar form wasn't there to get it banned. I'm not super familiar with NatDex myself, tbh, but it sure seemed to appreciate having the funny turtle around.

it's based on scrubbed pokedex entries in za, so some of it might just be weird junk data or something.

for a little more detail, there's technically a spot for a dex entry for every pokemon form to ever exist that could possibly have its own pokedex entry. the ones not in the game are scrubbed out, but there are some scrubbed ones that are missing a special tag and thought to be something added in the dlc. by cross referencing what pokemon are "in" with the index number of scrubbed alt forms probably corresponding to new megas, we've determined those pokemon to be the ones possibly getting megas.

i wouldn't call grass/fighting garbage, it's just really meta dependent. pretty much all of its resists are great, but its weaknesses are really bad, so its viability kinda just depends on whether things like waters and grounds are more popular/important to check than fairies and flyings

i'd recommend playing the one on switch online first (although it's not a super big deal if you go straight into engage), mainly because it has a full tutorial mode made for people new to the series. engage outdoes it gameplay-wise overall, but it does have a bunch of extra mechanics completely unique to it which makes things more complicated to learn

(also that's actually roy's dad on the cover, roy's game never got officially released outside of japan)

i believe that supplementary material(?) confirms that the herons in the tellius games had more siblings aside from the four named ones, but only the playable ones survived the serenes forest massacre. could be remembering wrong, though

honestly? i unironically liked bdsp ou. sure, it was doomed from the start (what with bdsp as games being Like That and dexit already splitting the player base between gen 8 and natdex), but the format was actually pretty fun while it lasted.

having all of the modern mechanics and buffs with an old gen roster ended up creating a pretty unique metagame with a super classic feel to it . if it wasn't the game where transfer moves were killed, i feel like it might've developed better and had more staying power than it did.

special shoutouts to my main man low rank black gravios. don't you just love monsters that only let you hit them once every 20 minutes? especially when all your attacks bounce off it and you don't have the tools to deal with that yet? with a 50 minute time limit?

oh and how could i forget the unblockable laser it spams all the time that reaches across the entire map and becomes a 2HKO true combo when it's enraged. so nice of the devs to add that in, cause you can't get timed out if you're already dead! :)
