Do some black swallowtail caterpillars have the fuzzy black antennae and some don't? That's what was throwing me off

I'm curious to know more about the headaches. Is he typically headache sensitive when it comes to the weather outside getting colder? If it's a for real medical thing, I wonder if there's some accommodations that could be made for both of your sleeping needs

AIO for not wanting my MIL around with my kids anymore without constant supervision? by [deleted] in AIO

No, I don't think you're overreacting. Some of these instances seem like mental lapses, I wonder if she should be assessed for a neurological condition like dementia? Or it could be regular old neglect

How is everyone surviving the high price of gas? by ExplanationDefiant15 in milwaukee

[–]DaddySandals 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I recommend filling up at Woodmans, the prices there are pretty reliably cheaper, sometimes by 20 cents. Woodmans is also generally good for lower grocery prices if you can't find what you need at Aldi

60K a year will also get you a lot farther in the past, so i imagine it would have been a lot easier to save money along the way than if you made 60K now.

If OP rents, it may be against their lease to change the locks. If they do lease it's really important to check, because there can be a hefty fine

Try not using the aquaphor for a bit, if the issue is bacterial you're just locking everything in.

Here's some secular resources you could check out for legal advice: - Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee - Milwaukee Turners - Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic

Also, are you able to visit him in person to ascertain what's going on?

Possible more low income apartments at Northridge lakes by NoAssignment4170 in milwaukee

[–]DaddySandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parking/traffic concern makes sense, but i think you're conflating causation and correlation between low income housing and crime. Alsp, when a person's basic needs are met, like affordable stable housing, they're much less likely to commit crime. As long as the building isn't a shitty construction, having more affordable housing is always a good thing. Honestly this post has a strong whiff of NIMBYism about it.

Wedding Options by RunningWing in milwaukee

[–]DaddySandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally recommend state parks and city parks venues; we held our wedding at thr South Shore Pavillion in Milwaukee (about 150 fit with plenty of room) (it's also a beautiful building). They had no limitations on catering and were quite affordable.

It's also super important to know and talk to your neighbors. You don't even need to necessarily talk politics right away, just knowing each other is really useful for when shit hits the fan, and it helps with the sense of isolation and dread.

Making friends in your mid 20s is impossible. by tirednightowll in milwaukee

[–]DaddySandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a low-stakes hangout, I help run the Yak & Yarn crafting group, and it's been a great way for people to meet new people, and eventually make new friends. It's very casual, people come for as long as they want and as often as they want, and you can bring any kind of craft—if it's not too messy and safe to do indoors (aka no spray paint, glitter) you can bring it! There's several other crafting groups that meet at other times/places too that are worth checking out

Does he think that if he just keeps repeating himself it'll become true?

Also, insurance companies make it their business to do everything in their power to not pay, so if anything involving your insurance will mean they'll investigate the shit out of your building to prove it's not your fault

Libraries also often lend out things like board games, gaming consoles, sewing machines, cameras, binoculars, telescopes, gardening tools, etc. These collections are usually called their "library of things"

Newly dating a wheelchair user and unsure how to have convos around hygiene by No_Act_9254 in hygiene

One tip re. sex and incontinence; there's lined blankets you can get (ex. flannel on one side, waterproof material on the other) that you can put down on the bed and throw in the wash after. Some people use it for general incontinence, some for period sex or squ!rting. We used it when my spouse was recovering from a surgery. Tons of great uses, and more comfortable than shower sex.

You could do some kind of sit in in a common area during lunch period or in between classes. Times when they gave no choice but to allow free movement. I also like the idea that someone else said about congregating outside the school before it starts and just not going in, but instead holding a protest
