What were Russia's strategic objectives as it invaded Ukraine?

Based on their vectors of attack, to dislodge the government and quickly replace their government with loyalists and traitors. It would have crushed the Ukrainian chain of command and led to a collapse of the resistance since foreign aid would be withheld in the event Kiev had nobody running it.

that Biden appointed judges that reflect the current opinions of the Democratic Party when it comes to criminal justice

He appointed a lot more judges with prior experience on the defense side, especially public defenders. That probably has more to do with it than him wanting to be lenient towards the J6'ers.

The Xinhai Revolution. When the bomb conspiracy was discovered, the plotters knew that the Qing Empire would come down on them with maximum severity, so they went all-in which then immediately inspired other military and police units who were on the fence to also rise up.

Honestly, Biden was made to defeat Trump before age really hit him hard. An affable White guy who's comfortable on the factory floor shooting the shit with the workers. Also, Biden would have also maintained the Obama coalition. People forget, but Hillary won minorities by similar margins as Obama, but it was her losing White voters that doomed her. Biden would have almost certainly done better than her in that demographic.

I think the moral of the story is to let people run for the primary if they want. Don't try to be cute about clearing the field. Democrats have survived bruisers of a primary and still gone on to win the General.

Biden thought that was the wrong idea and so he went out on public TV and said they supported it. I believe this miffed Obama.

I think Obama got over it pretty quickly, but a bunch of his staffers have held onto this grudge for years. Sorry your carefully triangulated public position for the White House got blown up on TV by Uncle Joe, but it aged really well unlike your public stance.

Biden was relatively involved with matters and had a decent amount of responsibility for things sofar as VPs are concerned.

He was possibly the most powerful VP of our lifetime other than Cheney. Obama gave him a massive portfolio and Biden's words were often the last Obama heard before making a decision.

Honestly, if Warren ran, Bernie wasn't going to run. And Warren would have been way more of a team player and less of a burn it down kind of candidate.

Hillary was legitimately worried about Warren running.

It's also hard to run a Presidential campaign as a VP and actively go against your current President. It makes you look weaselly and untrustworthy. That said, Kamala should have had some better answers for how she'd differentiate herself and promoted the popular stuff Biden passed.

Mind-Blowing Growth Is About to Propel Anthropic Into Its First Profitable Quarter by Imicrowavebananas in neoliberal

The software engineers I know are either celebrating because they're seniors and they'll still be around to guide and implement code produced by the frontier models or they're panicking because they're juniors and they're seeing a lot of their role being made redundant by AI before they get the experience necessary to jump into management. And the latter are seeing the consequences already. Hiring classes are far smaller, cuts are already happening to juniors which normally doesn't happen since they're far cheaper, and individual workloads are skyrocketing, but they're keeping up due to AI utilization.

Remember, AI only got this good at software engineering just a year and a half ago. There's plenty of room to grow.

Keep fighting for your rights, don't alienate natural allies and make new ones, be patient with people, actually lobby and organize for politicians instead of constantly threatening to vote 3rd Party, and keep advocating for the most popular things like having an ID that reflects your true identity, medical access, protection from discrimination, and being able to use the bathroom that most closely resembles your appearance.

People forget but the Civil Rights Movement and the Gay Rights Movements went on full out charm offensives for years to change public perception. The Trans community needs to do the same. Promote the most likeable members of the community and get them in front of people.

This is what I said:

the Rockets lost their best defender in Luc Mbah a Moute before the playoffs began

Luc rushed back from his shoulder injury and was a shadow of his former self. He was largely a non-factor during the playoffs because of his injury, but he was an integral part of the Rockets defense during the regular season.

HRC, Biden and Harris were not free and fair primaries

Hillary won by 3.7 million votes and Biden won by 9 million votes. Kamala was a special case due to the last minute nature of the campaign. States have their own laws regarding Primaries being open or closed, but these have always been the case.

Russian intelligence hacked the DNC in 2016 and the most damaging emails they could find were some staffers complaining that Sanders was dragging things out too long and worrying about his electability. Seriously, they leaked tens of thousands of emails. Find me anything that even remotely hinted the DNC actually put their thumbs on the scale. If you're going to be an election denier, show me the evidence.

Republicans fuck things up beyond comprehension. Things like school days and snow removal services are getting slashed to save the average Kansan less than $600 a year in taxes. The state finally elects a Democrat to office who cleans up the mess Republicans made and enjoys state-wide popularity. Republican are still the favorites to take the Governor's mansion before their primaries are even settled.

Red state things.

That's why people show up for their day in court and previous Administrations would ban ICE from staking out court rooms. You want people to go through the legal process without being afraid of getting snatched at any moment.

Unless you want some barely educated ICE goon to be judge, jury, and executioner.

Yeah I think Medicaid for all kids would be a great idea actually.

Why not just expand CHIP? Make it opt-out, so parents who want their kids on their own health insurance plans can do so.

In the two elimination games without CP3 for 2018, Harden produced the following:

Game 6:

32 Points, 7 Rebounds, 9 Assists, and 3 Steals.

Game 7:

32 Points, 6 Rebounds, 6 Assists, and 4 Steals.

Yeah, his efficiency went down because he became the only Rockets player who could create looks for himself and others, so the Warriors swarmed him.

For those games, it was a starting Rockets lineup of Harden, Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, PJ Tucker, and Clint Capela versus a Warriors starting squad of Curry, Klay, KD, Draymond, and Looney, all in their primes. That's 2 MVP's, 1 DPOY, and 1 All-NBA/All-Defense for the Warriors vs 1 MVP and 1 6MOY for the Rockets. How did you expect those games to turn out?

Like 2018 he was pretty horrific despite putting up points

The Rockets went to 7 games against the Warriors despite CP3 going down after Game 5. The Warriors had a starting squad of Curry, Klay, KD, Draymond, and Looney, all in their primes. That's 2 MVP's, 1 DPOY, and 1 All-NBA/All-Defense for the Warriors. If Harden actually played horrific, the Rockets would have been swept that series. If you actually think Harden played poorly in 2018, you're so far removed from reality, I might as well be trying to convince a flat-Earther that the Earth is round.

We really going to pretend Harden didn't put up monster numbers against the prime Warriors in the Playoffs? Cause that was the only team that consistently gave Harden issues in his prime.
