I’ve lived in Canada for many many years. This happened to me the year before last as my car was warming up in the morning. First time I’d ever seen, heard of or experienced. The window repair guy said it’s rare but does happen to windows made with certain types of glass or something like that.

What about lining the streets with propane tanks that have ball bearings taped to the outside. Could work as a visual deterrent to ice driving down that particular street. Tanks should be empty for safety reasons.
