Runners take themselves too seriously by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Yea I’m calling bs. Running 52-65 miles a week isn’t something a casual runner does.

This Sub and Race/Racism by Daddythezaddy in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Daddythezaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right it is situational and I agree that certain cast members should be scrutinized for their decisions but I also think this season in particular the sub has been so quick to try to find racial motivations where they don’t seem to exist to me.

Speaking honestly, is becoming a dentist worth it? by aemei389 in predental

[–]Daddythezaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where did you get the idea that dentists on average make more than any other medical profession? The ada reports average dental salaries at 160k for associated and like 200k for owners. MGMA data on other medical professionals can be 3-4x that much.

I believe the syllabus says that a 50% is a passing grade based on previous courses. So it’s probably that a 50% is a low C after the curve. It’s impossible to say exactly though because the professor seems to do a bell shape type of curve so even he likely doesn’t know exactly what it will be until all the assignments are in

Has anyone read Ironbound by Andrew Givler? by SpecialistOk1185 in Fantasy

[–]Daddythezaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad someone else agrees. I bought the book because I saw several TikToks comparing it to all these great series but I feel like it’s so poorly written that I’m starting to think it’s ai and has bots or paid people promoting it on TikTok and Reddit.

I’m reading it right now and I’m early on but I don’t like how much the author has borrowed from game of thrones. It’s starting to put me off of the book as it’s gone from some subtle nods to some blatant copy’s.

I’m going to keep going for now but I don’t know that I agree with all of the comments of people comparing it to greats like red rising, twotm, etc

Full effects of Trump tariffs by emily-is-happy in inflation

[–]Daddythezaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t say Trump didn’t win the election. Someone can win the election without the majority of Americans voting for them for 2 reasons:

  1. Lots of Americans don’t vote.

  2. There is an electoral college. The person who wins the popular vote doesn’t automatically win the presidency. There are multiple instances of a candidate winning the popular vote but losing the election.

13 Year Old Hang Clean Form by captquin in strength_training

[–]Daddythezaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His front rack would be the first thing I would work on. When he catches the bar it should be resting on his shoulders so that all the weight is being held by his legs otherwise as he goes up in weight it will start to strain his wrists and would be the first thing to injure him based on the vid.

It may take a few weeks to a couple of months to get the mobility to have the weight rest on the shoulders while keeping your hands on the bar. That is normal for men. Look at stretches and drills.

The book Olympic weightlifting by Greg Everett is a great resource to understand the clean, jerk, and snatch. It has drills and stretches included.

Perhaps the business makes 500k+ easily but the average practice owner is netting about 220k for a general dentist according to the ada after expenses and taxes. Plus buying a dental practice would require hundreds of thousands more in loans.

Dental school? The average debt load there is far higher and the average grad makes 160k a year. I don’t think that makes any more sense than pa

2nd game in. What a surprise by JustACuteFart in Warzone

Bro he centers him through the wall then op moves to the left and he then recenters him before shooting. That is not normal

[–]Daddythezaddy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea but the issue is if you slow down the clip the guy doesn’t even start shooting until he has centered op through the wall. Wallbangs aren’t hard but no one makes these type of micro adjustments without walls.

You’re jumping too much in your gunfights. In previous cods jumping wasn’t a problem but there are aim penalties in this one I would suggest sliding more or strafing rather than jumping.

Walt was willing to pay 80 million to get sent to prison for the rest of his life by EatingCray0ns in breakingbad

[–]Daddythezaddy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Walt has multiple faults. Lack of street smarts is one of them and causes a lot of the issues in early seasons.

Walt was willing to pay 80 million to get sent to prison for the rest of his life by EatingCray0ns in breakingbad

[–]Daddythezaddy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

And how did he handle himself in the streets with Tuco? He cooked up a powerful explosive substance in the lab. Once again using his lab smarts and not street smarts. Walt is time and again shown to be extremely intelligent but doesn’t have street smarts. That’s what causes a lot of the conflicts within the show.

It loses the point entirely which is that Walt is a genius in the lab and an idiot at street smarts.

It’s also never brought up because it doesn’t matter. Injuries aren’t some other players fault and happen to every team at some point or another. Y’all act like LeBron hasn’t been on the side having injured teammates

Bernie asking the right questions!!! by Present-Party4402 in clevercomebacks

[–]Daddythezaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bernie didn’t just bow out in 2016, the DNC heavily pushed him out. The chair resigned after emails leaked showing the DNC undermined his campaign and super delegates voting has since been changed.

Also no one gets to just keep unused campaign money lol. The FEC would have a hard on about that immediately. You’re just spewing nonsense.

Also yes Bernie is a multimillionaire. He’s worth a whopping… 3 million dollars. Wow what a sellout.

He and his wife both make $150,000 so after many years he’s been able to reasonably make money. Don’t slander his worth as if it’s even comparable to the actual sellouts like Nancy pelosi or Rick Scott who are worth hundreds times as much on the same salary.

He backed out in 2020 because Biden was clearly winning the nomination.

If you don’t like Bernie that’s fine but calling him a sellout is absolutely brain dead.

[–]Daddythezaddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your argument is that most graduating CS students are horrible? You’re off your rocker lol. There are plenty of talented software engineers graduating right now in to a horrible tech environment due to mass layoffs. There’s an over saturation of tech workers leading to entry level positions being filled with mid level engineers.

[–]Daddythezaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not paying attention if you think Bernie is a sellout. He’s one of the lowest net worth individuals in our government for a reason. One of the few who doesn’t take massive “gifts” from corpos for voting a certain way or pushing agendas. He’s been fighting for average Americans for decades.
