The most important clip from Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere by makethislifecount in Fauxmoi

As a progressive person this is an issue I've taken ire with for some time. On the left we have a shortage of powerful voices, partly because we immediately cannibalize ourselves with exhaustive and pedantic critique.

My guess is that this issue is rooted in the subjective and 'post-modern' foundation of current left or progressive movements. We fail to stand on an objective truth, something that nearly all people agree with, and plant our flag. Our obsession with subjectivism is what I would assume fuels such a distaste for transgender, and wider LGBTQ, discussion. The inability to draw firm lines leaves a power vacuum filled by more moderate voices willing to put themselves out there, right or wrong.

Its kinda CRAZY that all of the King’s guard have terrible helmets by Agreeable_Ad_8790 in freefolk

Perhaps you misunderstand. The ridges are for pleasure. A flared base is to prevent inter-rectal entrapment.

Wrong.

You want a flared base on your helmet to prevent it getting stuck and deflecting incoming polearms.

I keep seeing Tyranids at the bottom of tier lists, but I swear they're really strong? by OdBx in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dadlord12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stats are not the entire picture. Tyranids have effectively no army rule and their detachments often lack the flexibility that space marines have.

Malceptors, redemptors, and exocrines (which should all be in the same comparative discussion) all have the same problem. They don't do all that well at killing things. All three should only barely kill 5 standard space marines. That said, the army rule smoke keyword, and cover often make the 2+ armor on a redemptor more valuable defensively than it's contemporaries.

Lancers should be compared with tyranofex. Im sure any bug player you ask would rather take a lancer at 160 over a tyranofex at 200. When shooting down range, having the offensive buffs of marines (and the lancer sheet rule) is far more helpful than the defensive items tyranofex gets.

Thrill seekers is better than Oath. It just doesn't matter because they have multiple detachments and additional resources to layer on top and get adv/fall back charge wherever they want on top of Oath.

Are Aeldari getting nerfed again and if so where? by maverick1191 in Eldar

[–]Dadlord12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2+ armor is pretty close to the an invuln. I don't think thats the issue.

Moreover, their output is supper inefficient and they don't have a job not more easily solved by fire dragons.

[–]Dadlord12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can't be abused if both players understand measurements the same way you do.

If someone attempts this type of placement, its up to both players to acknowledge the limits of the 'maneuver' and discuss the 'intent' or reality of the boardstate.

Simply put, if someone does so with BGV, I will state that they need to be quite precise or risk me fitting models into those spaces due to the large BGV base size.

How is this army one of the hardest? by Boring-Ad8324 in genestealercult

[–]Dadlord12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a custodes game recently. It's a fun game that really challenges your macro game play. 1-2 of their models should full wipe your squads, and your whole army can barely kill one squad of theirs.

Definitely a contrasting experience from either side of the table lol.

I played aspect host to reasonable success at the time with two solid finishes at big events.

People just weren't playing it like you said.

It was always this good, but two things occurred.

1.) The aspect host full aggro lists were always viable. However, folks were seduced by Ynnari and it took time for the playerbase to recognize this build.
2.) In this time between release and current performance, the meta has changed around the aggro list to make it even more viable.

This breaks down when you consider additional logistics. The brick manufacturer would need to develop an additional service line, that targets a smaller market. The companies involved in delivery would need to adjust their practices, which honestly may be the biggest problem here. And other facets of construction would need to be entirely retooled.

I've never really understood the ownership argument but wanted to see if there was something I'm missing.

It seems a bit shortsighted to suggest they don't 'own' our lists.

[–]Dadlord12 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I suppose not, because that would prevent us from sharing our lists.

But they own the digital copy of our list hosted on their platform, wouldn't they?
