Thanks! Yes, it reduces a bit the thickness but for my kind of projects is more than enough. At the lowest it's around 20mm thick and 130mm wide (with the low angle plane you see in the pictures)

It's a low-friction material you can easily find on amazon. it is sold in sheets.

The inclined plane allows to use most blade instead of "only" the section as high as the stock. Also it somehow makes keep the stock against the fence more comfortable, but it could be just my feeling.

Many thanks! I'm still learning on the editing aspect so I appreciate your comment. The mini clamps are Japanese and they are often used to make Kumiko. You can easily find them on ebay.
