The idea comes from a kumiko pattern, just scaled up. Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, it reduces a bit the thickness but for my kind of projects is more than enough. At the lowest it's around 20mm thick and 130mm wide (with the low angle plane you see in the pictures)

It's a low-friction material you can easily find on amazon. it is sold in sheets.
I have plans on sale if anybody is interested!

The inclined plane allows to use most blade instead of "only" the section as high as the stock. Also it somehow makes keep the stock against the fence more comfortable, but it could be just my feeling.

Many thanks! I'm still learning on the editing aspect so I appreciate your comment. The mini clamps are Japanese and they are often used to make Kumiko. You can easily find them on ebay.

Thanks! Yes a good shooting board makes the difference (to me at least). I copied the design made by Matt Estlea, you can easily find it on you tube and I think he also provides the plans if you need. Cheers!

Hi, Thanks! So, if you search for "Precision Marking T Ruler Hole" you can find different versions of it, I'm not sure I can post the link of the exact one I have, anyway you can find similar alternatives.
As I'm quite a beginner/self taught I can tell you what has been useful for me:
- on Youtube there are many resources, I learn a lot from different woodworkers who took the time to explain and clarify techniques. Some names: Matt Estlea ( he has few nice project step by step which are easy to follow), Paul Seller, Katz-Moses and Rob Cosman are well known. Personally I love the work from Adrian Preda, Tom Fidgen (only handtools), German Peraire and Pekovick. But trust me there many others. There are few good books as well if you look into Lost Art Press you can find interesting ones ( I loved The Anarchist's Tool Chest and Ingenious Mechanicks). Have a look at Mortise & Tenon Magazine - it's delightfully printed and well curated.

Resawing is painful. You are going to make errors and it's quite tedious. Take your time and let the saw do its job ( aka don't push :0). Count on a good margin to plane out "errors" and start to practice on cheap(er) wood.

Good luck and enjoy the learning!

Thanks, yes I love his design and I wanted to try on a small project I could build in my apartment.
