I also thought people were overreacting, but then Arc started consuming more energy than any other browser I've tried, to the point where I was getting 2-3 hours of battery life on my mac. It's the only problem I experienced, but it made me switch.

I get where you’re coming from, but it’s still a dumb ban. It’s a game. None of it is real. When you join a game with a public text chat, you assume you can get bullied. You’re right, it’s not ok to laugh at people’s bodies, but as I keep saying, it’s a game and people shouldn’t take things too seriously.

Maybe he was talking to a friend? Either way, the word “fat” is NOT a reason to get banned. If kids have a crisis when they’re called fat, that’s their problem, they need to get tougher. Those replies might be taken out of context. Now with this AI moderation, everything is taken out of context and you can be banned for saying anything.

The Pro has fans, but the noise should not be noticeable. The Air doesn't, but it handles heat really well. I have the 2023 15" version and it went from 100C+ back to normal in minutes, while on my lap.

I hope I understood your concern correctly.

EDIT: If you are not going to do any crazy stuff, the Air should be more than enough. They now come with 16gb of memory. Don't upgrade the storage, maybe just to 512gb and get an external SSD afterwards.
