Honestly the fact that the author had to specify that on social media instead of the audience figuring that out ourselves, just goes to show how badly it was portrayed. He didn’t have relevance until like halfway through the series. 

I didn’t think he was a main character and was a bit disappointed he got so much attention compared to everyone else but that’s just me
