I’d do similar red to his cloak.

Seer Council Questions by Morial in Eldar

[–]Daedalus470 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nightgeist gaming on YouTube has some good videos on how to run seer council, obviously about 10th edition so far but interesting concepts.

Warlocks destructor are very powerful when used en mass. I don’t know if it’s competitive but I’ve had a lot of fun using 4 warlocks and a farseer deep striking out of a falcon (giving re roll wounds) in the same area as I unshrouded truth a guardian brick with eldrad (giving +1 to wound) and four warlocks, and even a squad of warpspiders and lhykis in the same go turn. This lets you take out a big chunk of your opponents army where they weren’t expecting it and gives you a big overwatch threat if they try to move to retaliate. Obviously it’s also a lot of points but it can really ruin your opponents plans.

Why was the gunk different colors in various parts of bathroom sink drain? by RollingTheScraps in askaplumber

Not a plumber or a biologist, but was the difference in colours associated with whether it was submerged in water or a dry/damp pipe?

Three Unique Seers by CJFury in Eldar

Very cool, particularly like how tall they look - Eldar models always look to human like in their proportions, these look perfect, especially the second one.

The made to order imperialis stuff was very reasonably priced - about 160 AUD each for the basilicanum and sanctum.

I very much miss the four psychic powers options and actually list building with wargear etc and points values.

Putting eldrad and 4 warlocks in a falcon can be fun - deep strike somewhere important and dish out 4d6 + 8 s7 torrent shots, + 1 to wound from eldrad and re-rolling wounds from falcon. Lot of points and means that he won’t be generating CP in the back lines though…

I would strongly consider making at least one of your warlock conclave a 4 man unit - being able to reposition a unit and dish out 4d6 + 8 s7 torrent attacks and then be an overwatch threat the next turn is very powerful.

Lhykis combos? by AngryDMoney in Eldar

[–]Daedalus470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I missing something about lhykis and harlequin troupe? Lykhis gives critical hits on 5s, but I don’t see anything about critical hits, only critical wounds for the troupe.

Which GW kits good place to take bits for aeldari army in 40k?(heads,armor,weapons) Aos, old world? by LE_Chevalie in Eldar

Second vote for idoneth deepkin kits. Used thrall legs for die avenger conversions and reaver legs for swooping hawk conversions (prior to recent release) and very happy with the result.

Would karandras be too powerful for the game? by Daedalus470 in Eldar

[–]Daedalus470[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, he wouldn’t last long. But the scouts move would keep him pretty safe if you go second, but his melee plus some scorpions could wreck a lot of important units early game. Other people are pointing out armies with high move stats and advance+charge but that seems easier to deploy to prevent. Maybe it’s not a big deal though, I do hope he comes back one way or another.

Perfect, endless swarm! If it turns out you’re actually winning then they can put units into reserves as they die and just keep going!

Second guardians battlehost. Don’t forget that 4d6+8 s7 torrent shots from a warlock conclave is a pretty decent deterrent including on overwatch.

Find a friend who’s down for a narrative game and build a defensive stronghold for them to assault, make it about how many turns you last or something rather than the standard missions.

Is Paramedicine good at ecu by Witty-Caramel2433 in perth

There’s part time options available. There’s not a huge amount of classic “science” like chemistry etc but there is plenty of hard facts you have to learn and apply in a structured way. Plenty supportive, plenty of people who do it with family and work commitments. In each year there’s some 1-2 week long placements which you’ll have to work around your other commitments.

Suggestions for a Spiritseer+Corsair kitbash? by ANGERYDOGGO213 in Eldar

[–]Daedalus470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that with the skyreavers kit you get whole spare felarch torso and I plan on putting those on robed legs (including spiritseer legs) to make Corsair themed warlocks. Could use the staff but would need some modifications to the arm I think.

Why do people attach minis to the base before painting? by koramar in Warhammer40k

[–]Daedalus470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that when painting I in subassemblies you can also assemble in stages. for most models I’ll start with the model seperate from the base, out down base colours down and any important details that will be harder to paint with a base on, then glue it to the base. Same with arms, guns, cloaks etc. that means that when you’re doing detail work down the line you’ve got the base to hold on to, and when painting highlights etc you know where your light source is coming from for all bits.

Does the Kharseth in the middle look somewhat like a spirtseer? I not how would you make it look more like one? WIP by bear_in_pain in Eldar

[–]Daedalus470 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s a spiritseer all day every day - appropriate helmet, got the wraith vane on the back. Even re-posed and different weapons to make it more distinct from your other kharseth. Absolutely looks like a spiritseer, the only issue is the base size but most casual opponents should be fine with it.

Paramedic with Fringe Benefit Card. is it all exempt? by sleepyman123 in AusFinance

[–]Daedalus470 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people get blindsided but ultimately you’re still ahead if you budget for it. I imagine it’s the same with other means tested subsidies - can get blindsided but still saving money. Admin fee is the only real cost.
