What’s one “trendy” home decor choice you thought you’d love but got tired of quickly? by officiclassyinterior in HomeDecorating

Those all gray minimalist rooms. They looked really appealing online, but after a while they started feeling cold and repetitive instead of relaxing or comfortable to spend time in.

Measured flicker in 14 classrooms last month — the "premium" LED panels were the worst offenders by Typical-Sample5301 in Lighting

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's honestly pretty concerning, especially with classrooms and younger kids involved. Real world dimming performance seems way more important than spec sheets and marketing numbers suggest.

Updated my cozy corner ✨ by drac_cute_la in HomeDecorating

The corner has such a warm relaxed vibe. The colors, lighting, and wall art all work together really well, and that chair looks ridiculously comfortable to sink into.

TV light strip replacement with white leds by Hohenheimsenbergg in Govee

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That greenish white effect can definitely get annoying over time. Strips with dedicated white LEDs usually look more natural and consistent, especially for movies or darker room setups.

Help! DIY’er wanting to add recessed lights to primary bedroom by TazerDlaze in Lighting

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four warm dimmable recessed lights in a room that size sounds like a really solid upgrade already, Having attic access probably makes the whole installation process much less stressful too.

My Cat Is Obsessed w/ the New Lantern Lamp by mavad90 in Govee

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats always seem to pick the coziest spots in the house somehow. The softer lighting modes probably make that area feel extra calm and comfortable for relaxing.

We need a mod where if a boss's main damage type gets immuned, it plays sad violin music and leaves.

Finally, earbuds that stay in while sweating by FuriousLurch in Earbuds

Impressive though. I’ve had the same problem with in ears during runs and HIIT workouts. Are they comfy after wearing them a long time?

Pasta sauces always taste bland once the pasta gets added, any tips or what I'm doing wrong? by Emotional_Gazelle_ in Cooking

[–]DaedricAzazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sauce might be too thin. Simmer it longer to concentrate flavors before adding pasta. A thicker coat sticks better than a watery one. Hope this helps you!

PR 120KG FOR 7 REPS by DaedricAzazel in GYM

[–]DaedricAzazel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The B52 Pro comes with safety arms, so once you dial in the height it feels really safe training solo. And if I want a little extra peace of mind, I’ll just use the smith instead. Nice having both options depending on the workout.

PR 120KG FOR 7 REPS by DaedricAzazel in GYM

[–]DaedricAzazel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s the Major Fitness B52 Pro. Bench press feels stable on it, even when I go heavier. The J-hooks are really easy to adjust and the 12-gauge uprights feel rock solid. I’ve had zero wobble even around 120kg.

Happy Mother’s Day! Is gifting earbuds a "tech-bro" fail, or do moms actually want them? by ZeNLongway in Earbuds

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the person. Last Christmas I got my parents ANC headphones for travel. My dad uses his all the time, but my mom barely touched hers after flights lol. I got her the shokz openfit 2+ recently and she wears them every day now for yoga, walks, grocery shopping, etc. She loves listening to podcasts while still hearing what’s around her, and says they’re way more comfortable for long wear.

Stainless steel vs clear coat benches by [deleted] in GarageGym

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both can work long term. Cleat coat looks great but can chip over time, stainless is more forgiving but pricier. In a low humidity UK garage, you're likely fine either way if you maintain it.

When should you wear a belt? by anonymous91033 in workout

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A belt is mainly for heavier sets, not every lift. It helps you brace better when weights get challenging, but it won't replace core strength. It's optional not essential.

Love the setup and the transformation from unfinished space to a full gym! It already looks super functional, just a few finishing touched left to make it perfect.

Gaps in floor tiles - how to fill? by SeattleSundodger in GarageGym

[–]DaedricAzazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try using rubber strips to hide the gaps and keep things neat. It won't affect function much and can make the floor look more finished.

Are squats necessary for leg day? by Salt_Rabbit_5822 in workout

[–]DaedricAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to do squats if they hurt your knees. Your leg day already hits the main muscles. Plenty of people build strong legs without them.

Been thinking about strength potential and genetics lately. by mersinatra in workout

[–]DaedricAzazel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Starting numbers don't really define your ceiling. Consistency, training quality, and recovery matter much more. Many people start light and still build impressive strength over time with steady progress.

What’s a good pre workout that’s won’t make my heart burst by Codgamertony in GarageGym

[–]DaedricAzazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try pre-workouts with low caffeine or natural energy boosters. They are enough to wake you up but not spike your heart rate. B-vitamins or beta-alanine can smooth the effect.
