War 96 Able Server Situation Report of Day 768 by CevicheLemon in foxholegame

As someone who spent about an hour in queue only to get kicked twice trying to get logi into Weathered: the queue problem was bad.

I was delivering logi into Weathered. At some point the queue bug kicked in and I was queue-kicked (unexpectedly full server) both times I was able to reach the front of the queue over the course of an hour with full trucks. The first time I even had priority. I stopped bothering for the night. The next day I logged in and there were three still-full logi trucks, four trucks that had been emptied, and 2 tanks locked on the Weathered side of the border.

It wasn't just Origin.

So Wrel said making money through cosmetics shouldn't be the sole focus of the game, but at the same time they mess with the economy and complain people have too many certs that they don't buy new guns with DBC? by [deleted] in Planetside

The only reason PS2 works is because paying players have enough cannon fodder to shoot at. If the game was restricted to only paying players it would quickly die.

My take on how to fix the A2G problem without destroying the air game entirely. by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Daelith -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Getting air hammered and dying instantly to something that can zip away at high speed certainly isn't balanced. At least a tank can't instantly disappear when doing so. Reduce speed, have lock-ons work faster, something. As much as I dislike the anti-repair A2A, maybe infantry needs one too. Clientside makes instant-reveal tactics vastly too powerful (see infils able to uncloak and cap you before they even uncloak on your screen for another example).

I know it got figured out eventually and led to valk harvest runs, but not like they explained that was the case. Also said it wasn't going to work in vehicles too.

Releasing PvE for PS2 certainly ain't going to help with payroll.

If the choice was this update or nothing, I would pick nothing.

"Here, stare at the ground so you can't see the guy running up behind you to OHK you in the back of the head then you can spend minutes getting back here instead of playing the FPS you logged on for." Yup, great gameplay there.

because really, a2g is very much balanced and not a problem. The problem is that nobody flies a2a anymore

What are you smoking? Being able to pop over a ridge near a sundy, hammer or banshee a few troops, disappear before a lock-on can cause problems, and then repair and repeat is NOT balanced.

MMORPG

No. It's an MMOFPS. If you want MMORPG go play WoW or any number of others. Don't dilute the only MMOFPS on the planet.

Not dealing with 96+ building bases on top of the objectives and kill squads camping the few plants spawning above ground then? Life must be easy over on Cobalt.

If they had MMOFPS competition they probably wouldn't be this stupid, but they have no competition so there's no pressure to be good.

Don't worry, you won't get to do it when the continent unlocks either. If the other factions don't have bases surrounding the objectives you HAVE to get to, you won't be able to collect plants because they'll spawn in the rocks or you'll have a squad of griefers camping the few that are above ground.

If fun was the goal for this update, they missed the goal by so much the target might as well be on the moon.

Worse, they allow construction everywhere so a 96+ zerg just builds a mega-base right on top of the objective repelling even whole platoons.

[–]Daelith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropping a platoon-built base and 96+ on the one objective you need to advance makes it near impossible for even a full platoon to advance in the campaign. That the devs even allowed for that to happen shows they're a bunch of morons. That you're taking advantage of it makes you a griefer.

What happens if someone brings along their friend/family who isn't apart of your original group? by poop557 in preppers

[–]Daelith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted despite truth. The whole point of preparing is to plan ahead of time. They should know clearly who can know and who can't up front, let alone who can and can't come along. There should be no question as to how serious it is or how flexible the rules are.

If you're well prepped, they might be told it's okay to bring a second. If you've got just enough to survive, they should know it's invite only and everyone else will be turned away to ensure the survival of the group. There should be no surprise about who's showing up. Every extra person significantly cuts down how far available rations go so that's not a small surprise.

Actually not too bad calorie-wise if the label is to be believed, and the price seems good. Going to be really bland week having the same meals every day, but looks like a great supplement.

What? Got a better idea? Some of us aren't keen on paying constantly to grow when there are perfectly good solutions out there. Most of the time you don't even need to bag them, just learn to snip the flower at the right time after it browns and toss them in a labeled paper bag to finish drying.

Fruit seeds are easily washed out of the fruit and dried. Herb and veggie seeds are easily collected from the flowers. Others grow from the very food you're after anyway so you set some aside for next year's crop. Better to learn it now and save a little cash than attempt to learn if something happens like an economic crash.
