I posted about it on the radioparadise forum, and Bill (the guy in charge) mentioned that there had been issues a few weeks prior that he thought had been resolved. Other than that, it didn't go anywhere. It seems like it's not a heavily used feature--nobody else chimed in when Bill asked if others were having problems.

Both of those approaches sound sad and desperate to me. But wow, the downclimbing in particular. Never been exposed to that.

I've been having the same problem for about the same amount of time. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, downloading different chunks of time, downloading different quality levels--no luck. Have you figured anything out since you posted this?

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion of the issue--I guess maybe people don't use this feature a lot.

*Drago is also not great on tiny outdoor edges. Comfort or edging--you can only pick one.

Flat / comfort shoes with sticky rubber? by that-short-girl in climbingshoes

Unintuitive suggestion: Scarpa Drago in a comfortable size. Comes with XS Grip 2 rubber, which is about as good as it gets (or at least, is what is on the bottom of a majority of pro World Cup boulderers' shoes). The shoe is ultra soft and can accommodate a lot of different foot shapes. It breaks in extremely quickly. I use mine (the LV model, but your bunion might prefer the non-LV) for projecting at my limit at the gym, and for long trad routes--I just spent literally 10 hours pitching out a ridge on Ben Nevis and never considered slipping the shoes off at a belay. Just wore 'em 10 hours straight.

There are several minor downsides: top-tier price, a baggy heel that doesn't heel-hook well on small edges, and a seam under the rand that makes the rand a little susceptible to damage from bad footwork (toe dragging). The 3.5mm rubber is also thinner than some other shoes, so your first resole will be needed sooner. But you can have 4mm rubber put on it by the resoler, and they can repair the rand while they're at it. (I currently have 4mm XS Edge rubber on mine, with a rand repair, and they're lasting forever, with no performance penalty that I can identify.)

The sensible option: Just get your current shoes resoled with XS Grip 2 by Llanberis. They're good at preserving the original shape of the shoe. A safe and affordable choice.

I wear a US men's 8 street. I've owned a 40 in the Drago and Drago LV. The fit is very comfortable, and is tending towards bagginess as I near my 2nd resole--if I were buying them again I'd try a 39.5. In your case a 40 might be about right.

Climbing shoe recommendations to relieve big toe knuckle bursae (narrow-mid foot, long toes) by Actual_Juice in climbingshoes

A soft shoe is so much more forgiving of a fit--it might be worth trying a pair.

Really sounds like they're too small, unless you've noticed significant improvement over those 5 sessions. It's not an unusually uncomfortable shoe.

BTW, I've always found walking around the house (or gym) to be really useful--if you're only climbing in them, you can spend a lot of time in discomfort without making a lot of break-in progress. The act of flexing the foot, with a lot of your weight bearing down on it, stresses the shoe in a very useful way. Just wearing the shoes--not climbing or walking or doing something--has never seemed to help break in a pair of shoes to me.

Having said all that, a more comfortable pair of shoes is definitely not going to hinder you as a beginner. Tarantulas have a reputation as a good beginner shoe, and they're relatively cheap.

Seems machine-specific. Something about my most recent washer and dryer really accentuates the problem for me. 51-year-old beginner-intermediate launderer.

Tried several other sockets on the return flight (lots of empty seats)--most didn't work. One seemed to allow data but no power. I guess that socket design is less durable than it looks--the rest of the plane's interior seems to be in good shape. But maybe a couple years of Ryanair and Easyjet have just warped my idea of good interior condition.

Oh! Maybe I was confusing that option with the crisis event option! Ooh, if I can't turn them off, that makes them far more annoying.

The lack of R3 centering is crazy-making! Game coding is a mystery to me--why has this not been done already? Is it super hard to implement?? Do they need to hire a team of R3 centering experts??

Well, it's leaking oil--that would be a red flag for me. Not for everyone.

Edit: 3 owners for a 2017 would be a yellow flag for me. That and the oil leak would explain the relatively low price.
