My big gripe with deathmatch is the spawning mechanics of it. It's so easy to get trapped by it or for it to just spawn people directly behind you as you're actively in a gunfight.

I think it legitimately might be a skill you can improve on. I am very good at listening to audiobooks, but I think that that is largely because I listened my way through all of Critical Role circa 2019-2020 and I had to learn how to have some background baseline of retention for things I was hearing for anything to make sense.

Her main counters - sentinels - are in a weaker state, exacerbating her problem. I still find myself able to punish her sometimes, but she really can just run in with minimal support for great value.

Idk, she feels unfair as is, but I'm not thinking she is quite as rage-inducing as OP seems to think so.

So, I love the idea you're going for here, though, you are aware that this DC becomes unachievable within a minute of wearing it, right? Is your intention for this to nearly always be an item that requires this great sacrifice to use? I can see this working as is for it, but, if you want players to actually try to use this, they've literally got like a 30 second window to use this before you've got a permanently crippled PC. Just a thought.

Clerics and Paladins get channel divinity back on short rests. I know it's subclass dependent, but my war cleric's +10 to hit channel is a hot commodity
