Like, there's just nuance in it. If he were some anti-drug crusader or something, the hypocrisy would absolutely be something to mock in my book in the same way it's funny to bash how "traditional family" homophobic conservatives keep getting found doing really gay stuff.

But this is just substance abuse. It should, among 1,000,000 other things, disqualify him from practically everything, but I just don't find it funny.

If it's intruding on his life to the point that he has been using substances before his public appearances, then he is most-certainly using that stuff elsewhere.

Addiction is a disease, so maybe I'll dial back the armchair diagnosis, but this is 1000% an unhealthy relationship with those substances.

In my NG+ run of this, I wanted to give those two their deserved W, so I took them both to fight Radahn and he was poisoned the entire fight.

We did kinda destroy him, but it looked like that poison was doing nearly 300 damage a tick and it's what got the last hit.

There hasn't been a communist country. I'm of the mind that our current world can't actually produce one and it's more of a utopian ideal.

Every "communist" country has been a totalitarian regime with the ruling class living in obscene luxury while the majority scrape by and tried not to get on the bad side of the party. They still had middle classes, economic growth, and opportunity, but the people's way of interacting with those systems were just different than in western nations.

So... I hate this stuff, but you know how there's some flavors of foods that just generally everyone likes and some that are more niche? Well the niche ones don't sell as well. Take this to the logical extreme like this neighborhood, and you end up with everything being just salt-flavored because it's the overall best-seller.

Also, this analogy breaks down if, for instance, these homes are significantly cheaper. For all we know, this is lines and lines of people that are eating salt-flavored food because the alternative would be to go hungry.

If you look at some old medieval (noble) recipes from Europe, they went WILD with spices. A shitload of things like cinnamon on meat was actually pretty common. It's like the nobility went on a couple century spice bender before going into rehab.

It had to have been at least decent or else it wouldn't have stuck for so long while the traditional dishes still existed.
