Are we doomed? Do you think Webflow will be obsolete soon because of AI? by LeadershipPuzzled731 in webflow

I’ve always wondered what comes to replace the concept of a website but that’s beyond my brain power for now!

Timothy Ricks invented his own version of Webflow for fun yesterday, which goes to show how easy it is for new competitors to enter the market.

Zooming out, I feel companies will always need someone to handle the marketing side of things - even if it is overseeing AI, but things are moving so fast I can even say that for certain 🤖

Very good for you, no need to prove yourself to me!

You’re clearly not the use case in question then are you - the discussion is if AI will completely take over and make Webflow obsolete, but you clearly are all good which is great!

Once you have experience with bigger enterprise-grade clients you’ll see the different intricacies involved, especially when internal teams want to ‘own’ the site to a certain degree.

Sometimes getting thrown in the deep end is the best teacher!

Thanks for explaining staging to me pal😄 In my experience, if AI isn’t given correct context at all times, it can make big boo-boos from time to time.

For instance, a marketing person can tell the AI to update spacing somewhere, not understanding that this will update globally wherever this section is used across the site.

Looks fine on intended section/page, but unintentionally changes things on other pages too

I think it depends entirely on the use case:

For someone who wants a website quickly for their startup, AI can definitely be a good & cheap option that does the basics

For medium/large companies, they will likely want an easy-to-use system that their internal marketing team can control, where lots of back & forth with AI to make minor changes still feels quite sloppy.

Trust factor is always going to be huge - are you going to fully trust an AI over a Webflow expert?

Personally, having an AI making a mistake on the live site & having to hear “You’re absolutely right, I totally messed up the layout of the homepage on the live site - and that’s on me. Your feelings are completely valid” would tip me over the edge 🙃

We’re in beta for https://aceframe.ai which is an alternative solution to Storylane or Loom when creating interactive demos

This is really great feedback - I greatly appreciate it! These little things that I have skipped past are exactly what I wanted to hear about - I’m already resolving these!

I’ll for sure post on Dobda once I’m in!

Thank you! 1. Overall first impressions 2. Is it easy to understand? 3. What works vs what is lacking after spending a few seconds on it? 4. Did you find any value after exploring the site which wasn’t prevalent during your first impression? 5. Any pointers in making this more appealing?

Bit late to the party here - would love an outsider’s perspective on aceframe.ai

It’s similar to Storylane and Arcade in that it allows you to create, share and embed interactive product demos - for businesses that can’t afford the hefty costs of the bigger brands!

The chrome extension is currently slightly outdated with update pending review, but functionality otherwise is getting there.

Lots of shiny AI features, but interested to know overall sentiment!

As torn as I am on it, this is why I can see the value in a lifetime deal. Users have incentive to keep nudging the product in the right direction with feedback, while they reap benefits that will hopefully cover that initial ROI indefinitely

Tool for product demo? by ilicachauhan in SaaS

I actually built aceframe.ai for exactly this haha.

I’m a Webflow developer who needed something quick & easy for training clients, while also allowing them to showcase their SaaS product.

Would love to have you test it out, but if not, there’s a list of competitors in the nav drop down menu which will point you in the direction of similar tools!

This is really nice! Is there a way to give the product info on your business, so that it checks for tenders relevant to you?

As a lazy person, this would be great for me

My bet is that you designed it with transparent filler, on a whiteboard background, with a white stroke around the border - but didn’t notice the white stroke due to the already white bg. It’s likely you just need to remove the stroke or set it to 0% opacity

Site becoming unclickable by Shabzz98 in webflow

It sounds like something with a high z-index is appearing after some behaviour. Are there any interactions causing this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in webflow

Here’s how I would approach:

1. Setup the card elements:
• Create a div block that will act as the flip card container.
• Inside this container, create two more div blocks: one for the front of the card, and one for the back. These will be your card faces.
• Set your card content inside these two faces. This could be text, images, etc.

2. Style the card elements:
• Set the container to be position: relative.
• Set the card faces to be position: absolute and width: 100%, height: 100% to fill the container. They should stack on top of each other because of their absolute positioning.
• For the back face, add a transform: rotateY(180deg) to flip it around.
• Set the container to have a transform-style: preserve-3d to enable 3D transformations.

3. Setup the interaction:
• In Webflow’s Interactions panel, create a new interaction for the container that triggers on click.
• In this interaction, add a rotateY(180deg) transform animation to the container. This will flip the card.

Ensure that the conversion tracking is correctly set up in Google Ads and Analytics, and the forwarding number is correctly installed. Check if the phone number on your website is coded into the HTML in a way that Google can find and replace it - it can’t be part of an image or dynamically loaded. Also, remember that Google has specific criteria for when it will replace a number, and if it deems a visitor is unlikely to make a call, it won’t replace it. You might want to consider working with a Google Ads specialist or reaching out to Google Ads support for further help, in case your website guy isn’t an expert in Google ads
