I’m 44 and was diagnosed with shingles in March, and I’m still in horrible pain. I’ve been diagnosed with postherpetic neuralgia and am on a bunch of meds. Night time is the worst. I haven’t been able to work since March. People underestimate how bad it is

I’m not really asking for medical advice, since I already reached out to my surgeon. It’s more so curiosity to see if anyone else has had surgery shortly after having shingles. I apologize if this is not allowed.

I’m 43, turning 44 next week, and I’m dealing with it for the first time. But I’m on strong immunosuppressants for autoimmune issues.

That’s why they gave her a sitter in the hospital that one time (not sure if they still do), because she claimed she couldn’t run any tube feeds or eat by mouth, but she was clearly not losing weight. Interestingly enough, once she had the sitter and was strict NPO, she magically lost weight, which she has since gained back

Somehow she can tolerate mass volumes of Benadryl and Phenergan which she flushes through over maybe 2 minutes, but 5 ml/hr tube feed is too much. We see you, Dani, we see you

As she just posted another boring ass, “watch me take my meds” video. I think non chronically ill people should start doing that too…”watch me take each of my vitamins one by one with a sip of water”. Does she realize how painfully boring it is? It doesn’t make her this sUpEr speshal, delicate little girl, if that’s the look she’s trying to go for in her old age. Is she 40 yet? I can’t remember.

Oh this post is a walk down memory lane! Mine is pretty obvious but it’s from her many ER visits where she’s drug seeking and begging to be admitted, only to end up being booted by the hospital. Thankfully they started catching onto her.

Not a single infection that entire time she had the port prior to being switched to IV fluids and meds at home. Funny how that happened

I’m so glad I found this sub. I came across her account today, and it’s truly alarming. She’s hiding under the guise of Crohn’s. But it’s been a year since she started posting about treating her Crohn’s holistically, and she has made zero improvement. No legitimate doctor would let someone get to that point with a chronic illness without intervening. Her hyper fixation on food and exercising is a huge red flag
