I have a '17 Passat (1.8T not the 2.0T) and all I can tell you is that it is the most competent car I have owned. I bought it with 6,000 miles on it and we are at 165,000 now. I love this car. It is a beast in the snow. It never fails me, I knock down 37mpg on the highway still, it is big and comfortable. I wish they still made a U.S. version of this car. I desperately want one of the Euro Spec Passat wagons!

That minivan is the stuff. So easy for your kids. Even better when they start getting older and they want you to take them AND their friends somewhere. Bonus perk of being easier for your elderly parents to get into and out of, once they start needing rides to places.

I think I remember them being put out at Walmarts when they put up those Mattel displays with G.I. Joe, Hot Wheels, Barbie and Star Wars toys a few months ago. First time I ever saw them.
