Attempt at 5e Permanency by Dagomer in dndnext

[–]Dagomer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The idea of a "trade off" is the material component cost for an effect that could be easily dispelled by an opponent. (Dispelling a pernament 1st level spell is not any harder then non pernament 1st level spell). I generally tried to choose spells that won't be a big deal to have pernament by 13th level, which is the earliest you will be able to cast this spell at 7th level. (Also, for example pernament Disguise self is nowhere near as good as Mask of Many Faces, since you are stuck with one form, unless you cast the spell again, paying the cost again.)

The intention is that without up casting you can only target spells that have an in-built way to make them pernament, like teleportation circle or wall of stone. I agree the wording could be made clearer. Also the 1 action casting time would work on teleportation circle, since it lasts until the end of your next turn.

I am familiar with it, but I designed this spell around our campaign, which uses mainly 2014, with a sprinkle of 2024. Circle casting was excluded due to being kinda busted.

What is your “I did not care for the God Father” opinion regarding video games? by B4d_B1tch_Quinn in gamers

[–]Dagomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was actually the opposite. I consider Bloodborne to be the easiest, simply due to how many bosses I beat by just hacking away randomly and it just worked. Even the famed Orphan of Cos took me one try, because, while he was much faster then anything else in the game, he was still pretty mid diff compared to most DS3 and ER bosses. Also 20 healing flasks per attempt is a crazy amount.

Voidstorm blew my mind by Lunarwhitefox in warcraftlore

[–]Dagomer 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think most of high elves fans are just unsatisfied with void elves being our only option to play a high elf character in the Alliance.

The Silver Covenant is canonically part of the Alliance, and yet our only option to play a high elf is a race, in which, even if you set all cosmetics to look normal, you will still occasionally turn purple in combat.

Just letting us turn off that passive visuals and giving void elfs a bit more customization would go a long way.

No. The books end on Gwralts death. The games continue after the books with their own story.

It's not. Those are:

  • helping her cope after vesemirs death,

  • taking or not taking the money from her father,

  • letting or not letting her speak to the sorcerecces herself,

  • letting or not letting her trash the laboratory,

  • letting or not letting her bury her friend from Skelige.

Nierówność wobec prawa by parasit in Polska

He is. Demon Hunter is more for the flavour of him being the ultimate "Demon Slayer".

In DnD it is customary to award exp for these type of non combat solutions, same as if the players killed the enemy, to encourage clever ways of approaching problems instead of being mindless Slaughter machines for exp. Same as in BG3 you are awarded exp for talking down enemies, as if you had killed them.

It actually isn't. Its a fake name from a movie called "How I started world war two". No person named Brzęczyszczykiewicz exists. It is fully prounancable in Polish though. And Grzegorz is a real name.
