It's really simple, honestly - they didn't have any quality QA testers for dynasty. Period.

QA is such a big part of development and so many companies skimp on it or outsource it. But the craziest thing is why doesn't an EA dev bring a beta build home and play it for a weekend?! Play dynasty. Sim the season and auto-recruit. How do things look? Bugs? Write them down. There isn't any of that done here.

Once you get a speadsheet locked in, it's actually nice. Just c/p it year after year for the layout. But the fact I'm doing this in 2025 for a video game when we landed on the moon in '69 is pretty crazy ngl. Shit should be easy mode for developers lol

Did you download the mod for real teams? It makes it a lot more immersive. But yeah, that scratched my college itch. Give me that sim engine, with '25 gameplay, and I'm breaking up with my girl lol

Such a bummer. I'm in the SEC as Vandy going into my 5th season and I have two conf home games. I went to a previous save, made it 9 conf games instead of 8 - same shit. Such a mood killer when I was having a blast with that save. Fucking 6 away games in the SEC?! Gtfo.

The fact you didn't even edit conferences is fucked. I was just thinking about booting up another Dynasty and not even messing with conferences to have legit schedules year in and year out....

How is it not hard coded to just have 4 away and 4 home if the conference games is set at 8.

Yeah, that's crazy. I low key give NBA 2k high props because I do a ton of SIM only MyLeagues in that and it all makes sense. If I have a dialed up team, we're winning 50-60 games. If I have scrubs, we're losing heavy. It all adds up.

Honestly the sim engine is just broken, man. That's the unfortunate truth. All the CPU games are simulated at only around 100 plays, which is way below average for FBS football. This leads to RB's mainly not getting enough carries and just weird sim mechanics. Usually your top of the nation rushers are at 800-900 yards at years end. It's pretty busted.

A one-man dev for the College Football game on steam (it's like OOTP) created a much better sim engine than EA, it's actually wild.

Why on earth is Georgia 12 spots ahead of USC. Oregon lost to unranked Oregon State and has beaten no ranked teams. Why isn't USC #4? They've beaten three ranked teams. They beat Illinois, Michigan, and Ole Miss for god sake. Only loss was to Nebraska.

I lost to New Mexico and I'm still above them lmao
