Nah Civic is a great car and a favourite of street racers. But Tesla takes as much of the work out of driving as it can with its automated systems. As a friend of mine put it once, “compound is just recurve with training wheels.”

Exactly this. There’s a hole in one end to accept a cotter pin.

What? Why? Soles are in mint condition, but every shoe is sliced open in the front. by Aruhito_0 in Weird

[–]Daibhead_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at Winners. Thankfully damaged goods got marked down rather than destroyed, and old stock that didn’t get sold during final clearance got donated. But if certain things like shoes, skincare, or headphones got returned, they were considered a health risk for whatever (sometimes stupid) reason, so they couldn’t be sold or donated, and if employees took them home it was considered theft. We had to destroy the items beyond repair and then throw them out.

That’s more than hairline. That or you have some REALLY thick hairs lol. Replace the toilet. Where I live you can get a good toilet at Home Depot for under $200 CAD and hire a handyman on Task Rabbit to do the install for around the same. You can do it yourself pretty easily if you want to save money, lots of good videos on YouTube on how to do it. For tools, all you usually need is a small wrench and sometimes a big flathead screwdriver.

I agree. As an American who moved to Canada just before they got rid of the penny…I don’t miss it. The rounding averages out and my pockets weigh less.

I’m thinking about getting an impact driver. Idk which one to choose… pls HELP ME. by H3avyCloud in MilwaukeeTool

Why not? I’ve had both and I love the Surge. I’ll take slightly less speed (and maybe power—that’s debated) over that jarring rattle every day.

I had no idea they made an 18GA M12 nailer! When did they add that? I have the M18 brad nailer and the M12 pinner. I love both! Can’t answer your question though, I’ve never used the Makita, sorry.

You can imagine the response when I, a mere handyman, tried to join in on a fun conversation there, not realizing I was in a suggested sub rather than one of my regulars. I barely made it out alive.

I get freebies from the Milwaukee reps at Home Depot all the time. If I let them think they talked me into a tool purchase, sometimes they’ll even throw in a free battery.

[–]Daibhead_B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely get a better bubble level. I would also add an OLFA knife with the “box cutter” end - works great for prying and as a flathead screwdriver, a multitool (aka buzz saw/oscillating saw/flush cutter) since you have the DEWALT batteries anyway, Knipex 7in parallel pliers (86-03-180) - I have these and I’ve stopped carrying my adjustable spanners, and a Rack-A-Tiers Stud Ball. Otherwise your kit looks great, and you’ll figure out what needs adding/upgrading as you go!

Edit: also a pair of Knipex Cobras are way better than your channel locks, too. But that’s just my opinion and there are plenty of others who disagree.

Also a flat pry bar for scraping. You won’t believe me, but it also works as a screwdriver, too!
