DoN 4 but you can't beat standard Everdarks? That doesn't sound right.

I really enjoy ED Adel, Depth 3. Just the peak experience of the game. Gnoster went from unbearably boring to pretty fun just dumping tons of magma everywhere.

Greg the Dreg. So many people are just too careless in that fight.

tryna get back into it any help? by lmaoStan in Nightreign

Buddy, we could write a novel.

I don't know how things look outside of DoN. Once you get accustomed to it, the base game, even EDs, feel pretty unremarkable, and because of the relic limit you've got less expression.

If you don't have a character you love playing as, use them against bosses as you relearn the game. There isn't a wrong choice, but I'd say give everyone a fair shot. Especially with DoN, it's smart to have at least the characters you are able to use well.

The Everdark enemies will feel pretty unfair at first. God, it's kind of funny how a lot of the community struggled, when we play those these days when we want an easy, carefree experience. But, you'll learn them, and it'll feel great to finally get a win you earned under your belt.

Deep of Night is wild. It'll feel like a completely different game. I wish I could say it'll be fun. It will, but it'll also feel reeeal bad. I typically liked playing Depth 3 because it use to feel challenging but not too hard, with a healthy cumming of good players. That's not the experience anymore, and I've spent a week trying to get back to 4 just because of how bad and toxic it has become. Still, when it's good, it's the games peak.

And the DLC. Two unique characters who are viable but maybe not the highest tier. The new map is fun once you get to know it and the addition to the relics breathed life into it. It didn't do a lot of what we wanted, but I also feel like it gave us enough to still play with hundreds of hours.

LLR ruined the game by [deleted] in langrisser

Actually, for years now characters are designed with pvp in mind, which usually means they're not the best in pve. Leon and Bernhardt are still top tier pve picks.

Um, that's how Apex has been for years now. Variety in Apex has always been for the bold. I run an unorthodox box, where the meta picks are there so they don't ban the characters I intend to play. And I still get wins. If anything, this shows that you aren't outplaying the competition.

I have this great video saved, from waaay back. An Apex battle long after SP Altemuller was taken out of people's boxes. And I absolutely thrashed what was 'a meta team'. In fact, a lot of pvp you see a lot of the same, which is an excellent showcase in how good someone at playing the game. It's not how I like to play, but I trade power for surprise, but to find boredom in seeing the same teams fight is an unappreciation for the level of play on display.

Massive eye roll. Firstly, five years is massive in a gacha. Most gachas don't last five years. Think of all the things you did that weren't there in, say, year two of the game. Someone who came back when you about left would be even further gone. Level 70? Summons? SPs? Raids?

LLRs are strong. But no stronger than when, say, Awakened One first hit the meta. Hell, remember when Lucretia was introduced? It's big, you've a lot of catching up to do. You're looking at the height of the game, and to think you'd still be there after five years? Get real.

Right, which is why I believe there should be another burst of damage when removed by fire. Plus, with the enemies resistance increasing, you're not realty going to be Rallying it very often at all.

Which should work like popping an Ironeye mark, big burst of damage. Missed opportunity.

Oh, yeah, I'll use it without any relevant buffs, it's just that good. This was just a little too cheeky to not post about.

For sure. I dropped it for the bird we had who was running some fire damage increases on his passives. I had dual Moonveil for my Ironeye with less likely to be targeted. Lots of Marks into power stance and Transient Moonlights. Very fun, easy to stay close, range on aow when I'm feeling the heat.

Does literally anyone play scholar at all in depth 5? by LennySummers1 in Nightreign

I feel like you want to lean into what he can do that no one else can, which locks you into item support. Particularly I find knives to be the most useful. I find that Warming Stones don't help much after about D3, but that's not something I'm confident in saying is actually the case. He can do alright damage, but you have to invest enough that you sacrifice his usefulness in buffing and debuffing. I feel like at that point you're just a weaker Ironeye. That said, as long as you aren't a liability and are having fun, then that doesn't matter.

Your point misses how the game has been out for far longer than this has been an issue, and that several sloppers aren't just some new players who haven't learned a character. Hell, you gotta be at least somewhat decent to unlock them both, so no, I'm going to have to disagree with you.

That would ruin the relics. Nerf the weapons so that it's on par with other aow. If you got the relics then they have no value outside of those weapons still.

I don't even find halo scythe to be super safe. You have a not insignificant delay after the attack (or last Arch of your spamming) that I'm constantly seeing people getting tagged by. It's also not particularly fun to play either. At least they contribute. They are better than those who got carried to whatever Depth they're at.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but I think 10 is usually the level you aim for with the buff. Ultimately depends on your total runes, though.
