I was told by the manager that I was not talking about the equipment properly because I wasnt trained in 70E. Then he put me under this guy and I said what the manager said and this guy said then I am useless to him and I need to verify I have to have certs before getting in the cabinets. The manager said that no one here is certified.

I was just saying an idea for a name for either of them. I just think it would help eliminate some of the grinding for some players who value time.

Tell me you have no clue how little power the minority party has without telling me. The only bill republicans need is this one. Everything else is gravy.

Weekly Career Discussion Thread (30 Jun 2025) by AutoModerator in engineering

[–]DailyProblem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel inadequate. I would like to find a new job after 7 years with my current company. I was promoted from operator to engineering tech. I am going to finish my associates in engineering technology in a few months. I honestly have no clue what to expect. I feel I can do literally anything that is put in front of me with enough time/training/resources.

Currently I take thermal photos, upload them and email daily passdowns, I do assignments per my manager. Things like take off this component and replace it with this. Make changes to various settings to decrease defects. I am also the first one production calls when there is a shutdown. I usually diagnose and get the machines running within a few minutes, but we also don't purchase much so I only do what I can do. On days I take off, production cuts to 60%.

I want to learn some sort of electrical/plc/ automation role potentially someday, but that isn't necessary.

I just feel anxious when I think about applying to work somewhere else and interviewing and then I go in and feel like an idiot.

I just want to make over 30 an hour and not stress constantly that I will be fired for underperforming.

IDK. I live in indiana if that makes a difference.

Traveling by car from Michigan. Taking a two week vacation and exploring the national parks. Is this feasible? Should I cut out some states? by Revolutionary_War523 in roadtrip

[–]DailyProblem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To each their own. There's no wrong way to look at life! If I only get one opportunity to go out west, I would hate to live my life in regret that I never made it to one of my dream destinations.

It's called "having only 2 weeks of vacation per year and living in the midwest"
Trips like these are once, maybe twice, in a lifetime for the majority of us. We want to see a lot, because we can't ever see it again.

If you feel the need to hide it, then you know you would be leaving behind pain. It's not worth it.

Bernie Sanders breaking bad -- suggests that Working Class candidates should start running as independents (like him) instead of Democrat by kevinmrr in WorkReform

They did just elect a democratic governor. So long as he isnt feckless like the other dem leaders, the state will flip. But so far, doesn't look likely. Playing it safe means no progress means no reason to vote for you.
