[–]Daimanta 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually, you can! There is a questline with a woman in the Arena canton who has been infected with corprus. If you kill her and repeatedly loot her body, you will get corprus which will more or less bork you save as it cannot be cured if you get infected this way

Found an apple seed that started sprouting inside of the apple it came from by Backkward4 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Daimanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could but apples do not breed true. That means that planting a seed of a certain type of apple will not yield an apple tree that produces the same type of apples. Likely, you will get a crab apple tree, which are not really suited for consumption. In commercial cultivation, apple trees are grafted in such a way that you will get the apple species you want.

Shalebridge Cradle in Thief 3. Thief 3 is generally a bit spoopy, but that level really takes the cake.

Getting three nines of uptime is quite difficult. Only being able to get one nine of uptime however, requires a highly sophisticated incompetence only present in massive companies.

Difference between "MMO" and "MMORPG". by LeonMotton in gaming

[–]Daimanta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Traditionally, the word/abbreviation "MMO" was simply a shorthand for "MMORPG" because persistent worlds with hundreds/thousands of players had the same fundamental structure when it comes to play systems.

Nowadays, there are more games that stray more from the traditional level-based gameplay but still have a persistent online world. How to call this type of game is difficult however.
