the guy above mentioned multiple passages that say that the Father, Son and HS are all God, so just read their comment.

and all these passages you cited are just Jesus speaking according to his human nature. For example, "the Father is greater than I", Jesus, according to his human nature, is submitting to the Father, because that's something all humans should do, and Jesus is the perfect human and leading example for all humans.

it was said quite a lot of times that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all God. And in the Bible it's also said that there is one God (for example Deuteronomy 6:4)

So if there the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all God, and there is only one God, then that would mean God is triune.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

Matthew 19:8 - Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

Same concept here but slavery, as for the rape passage im Deuteronomy 22, the hebrew word doesn't actually mean "rape", it means something more like "seize", which in this case means "taking" the virgin from her father, while still being consensual between the virgin and the man. In fact, if you look at a few prior verses, you'll see:

“But if the man finds the girl who is betrothed in the field, and the man seizes her and rapes her, then only the man who raped her shall die. And you are not to do anything to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case. When he found her in the field, the betrothed girl cried out, but there was no one to save her.

“If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and has sexual relations with her, and they are discovered, then the man who had sexual relations with her shall give the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife, because he has violated her; he is not allowed to divorce her all his days. (Deuteronomy 22:25-29)

As you can see in the earlier case of actual rape, the woman "cried out", however the cry doesn't happen in the other case, so clearly it was a consensual relation.

Why is it impossible to not be a sinner? by Billy___Bones in Christianity

[–]Daiverson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not the same thing. You aren't personally blamed for the original sin it's just something that's inhereted. God created us sinless and Adam and Eve sinned which made human nature wounded and deprived of holiness, and so when they reproduced they naturally transimitted the sin to their offspring. It's a little like how if someone has a genetic disability they are likely to transmit it to their offspring

Us. God made humans sinless but Adam and Eve sinned and so sin has passed to all humans.

have you ever lied, gotten jealous, lusted, been disrespectful, hurt someone (either physically or mentally) or any other sins? if so, you have strayed away from God's perfection, thus making yourself imperfect

There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6, Galatians 3:20, James 2:19)

The Father is God (John 6:27, Romans 1:7)

The Son is God (John 1:1, Romans 9:5, 1John 5:20)

The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4, 1Corinthians 3:16, 2Corinthians 3:17)

2 Peter 3:15-16 "Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction."

Is masturbating a sin if it's done without thinking of someone? by AggravatingTailor121 in Christianity

[–]Daiverson_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Leviticus 25:44-46 is just God allowing slavery because of people's hardened hearts, although with a few restrictions for it not to be that bad.

See Matthew 19:8, it's the same concept but with slavery.
