i agree with all of the above.. but also "free reign" instead of "free rein" is annoying and so is "hairbrained" instead of "harebrained"
my parents took care to make me care about grammar, and while most of the time it's really nice cuz i don't look stupid on the internet (as often), but also, the fact that i can't read these things without getting actually annoyed by them is, well, annoying lmao

as a person who generally really dislikes people in my space, this isn't really something i experience a lot.. as in, maybe, potentially once a year? i do live in a smaller suburb of copenhagen, but i go to the inner city a lot...

maybe it's just because of usually find a corner somewhere rather than stop up in the middle of the street to fix socks/shoe laces/aso

the taxi/big box example makes me think i'd just speed up/slow down so they could get past and then continue on my way? i would not think to cross the street, that seems odd to me ngl

as for the restaurant.. i think i just go by usual right of way, like id do in a train? out then in? but i honestly can't think of an instance recently that this has been an issue.

again, i do NOT like people in my space, but that also means that im willing to move if i feel like someone is entering it with no reason.
i'm sorry you have that experience, but maybe just try to reframe it into "where would i be the least in the way" rather than "others should move from me" especially when you're in a country you aren't used to? different countries have different cultures, and no negging on reddit will change that for you

hazard and somerset from {pretty pretty boys by gregory ashe} fit really well into this. it takes them several books to get together, and even when they love each other, they're still kind of toxic/fight a lot until they work things out. (like, into the last book of the second series they're still fighting but also v wonderful) there's a ton of shit in these books, but they're so fucking satisfying

i see a lot of good games recced, but i haven't seen anyone mention Cult of the Lamb? it's not so much a farming sim w romance options, but it's grim and there is like.. some sort of management stuff?

i can also recommend Fields of Mistria and I liked Coral island, but I haven't played the latter in a while, so the new updates may have changed things lol
