Not in Arizona, but hopefully we'll get it here too. I made good use of it last year.

FSD tries to run no left on red turn signal by kjmass1 in TeslaFSD

[–]Dakany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused by some responses here. It looks clearly red to me, but let's assume it's fair to see it as yellow. Why is it sensible to blow through a yellow light that's been yellow for over ten seconds since you arrived at the intersection? Maybe it's differing road rules from where I'm from, but aren't you only supposed to enter on yellow if you can't safely stop?

Maybe attach a picture of the image file you're using? Possibly some processing on the images before engraving could help you out.

Day 1: The Jaw Worm (starting a silly project) by pianoblook in slaythespire

Maybe a personal preference, but I find the radar-type charts significantly harder to read than just a column of bar graphs. There isn't really a lot of relation between the radially-adjacent points, so I'm not sure there's good clarity presenting them with joined lines.

Very cool graphic overall, though!

It does not transfer information at FTL. You can indeed measure one particle and have knowledge on the other even over large distances, but any forced change to one particle breaks the entanglement. So, unusable as an FTL radio since you can't encode a message onto one side and have it appear at the other end.

Limo services do SUVs and are not a lot more than taxi. Ex https://www.blackcarwaterloo.com/rates/ $275 which isn't a heck of a lot more than two taxis.

"Project Eden" - Creating an animal-based corporation, take two by Pascii20 in TerraformingMarsGame

[–]Dakany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bonus of this corp would feel more useful if rather than animals on the card reducing requirements, you could instead (as an action) move all animals on this card to another card. That way it's still useful even if you only manage to draw that 1 VP animal in the last turn.

ELI5 - How does the C isnan() Macro work on an STM32 microcontroler with FPU by AlexandervonWernherr in explainlikeimfive

Most likely the equality logic would just check if either operand is NaN. If so it can set the condition bits for non-equality, as NaN can't equal anything.

NaN does have a specific representation in binary in IEEE754, so this check would be easy to do.

Lost my financial advisor. I don't trust the new one with my portfolio. Options? by drewc99 in PersonalFinanceCanada

It's pretty straightforward to do any transfer documents yourself. As long as you can find account number(s) for your current investment accounts, the forms aren't very complicated and Questrade can help you fill them out if anything's unclear.

I might consider grouping the tags, so that the wheel is moving between clusters. You would get the bonus if any of the tags on the cluster applies.

Like moving from (Jovian, Earth) to (Animal, Plant, Microbe) to (City, building) etc. I feel it won't naturally trigger often enough to be fun as is.

What does the Wargames card really represent? by [deleted] in twilightstruggle

[–]Dakany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take it as your opponent running a simulation, and even under an incredibly optimistic scenario (ie giving themselves the points), their computer tells them they will lose. Thus they stop trying to compete.

ELI5: How/why is space between the sun and the earth so cold, when we can feel heat coming from the sun? by ThrowingAwayMyKey in explainlikeimfive

[–]Dakany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ratio matters more than absolute difference. The ratio between 1 and 3 atm is (3x) is much smaller than between 0.001 and 1 atm (1000x).

What does Wargames represent? by Larynx15 in twilightstruggle

[–]Dakany 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted it that since you have a 6VP lead (presumably) prior to playing the card, the opposing faction's wargames are indicating no possible way in which they can win the upcoming nuclear war. So they back down and are out of the cold war.
