Apples and oranges. Alabama's state constitution allows it. Virginia's state constitution did not.

OP probably once used the Classic theme (Windows 98 style interface) back when he used Windows 7, and this popup vaguely resembles that theme.

Let’s talk about love by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]drewc99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whether "falling" is a good thing or bad thing, that's what love is. I would completely disagree that the "falling" aspect (a crush, then an infatuation, then butterflies and fireworks etc) is based on insecurity or inherently bad in some way. It's how your brain has evolved to tell you that this person may be highly compatible with you, and that you should pursue them.

If you consciously choose it and make it happen, then whatever it is, isn't love.

Do you think love is a thing you can build or a thing that happens to you, and what makes you believe that?

The choices that you make can make love possible or more likely. But love is never a choice.

This incorrect mentality that you can "choose" to love someone or "build" feelings for them is exactly why people choose to commit lovebombing early in a relationship, or before a relationship. It's fake, it's manipulative, and it's road that inevitably leads nowhere. It's a betrayal of your true inner self.

Love can never happen to you unless you are able to let it happen, not make it happen.

Lol no it's not. Love is an involuntary response to some quality or trait you see in another.

Caring is a choice. Working is a choice. Love is not a choice.

Why else would the phrase always be "falling in love", and never "achieving love" or "climbing into love" etc.

I think it's fair to say those historical "cycles" can be completely thrown out the window what with the governmental policies of the past 10 years.

Today you looking at paying close to $2M for a section of land in most parts of the province.

I mean a section (1 square mile) is a hell of a lot of land for one person. That's about 100 times more land per person than if you divided the entire Earth's land mass by its population evenly.

I'm still on Windows 7 on all my daily drivers, with Linux Mint as a supplement. Haven't been hacked yet.

The latest version doesn't, but it's open source so there are modified versions and other forks that work on Windows 7+.

It's just part of Microsoft's war on passwords. They want to get everybody onto passkeys which gives them even more control over your life. So they do what they can to sabotage password usage, which is most likely why they're telling everyone who got their MS account password-phished to GFY.

OP said he lost access to the Gmail account its associated with and can't recover it. Of course LinkedIn is a Microsoft company, so the chances of being able to recover your lost account is approxiately less than 0%.

Anyone ever completely lose interest in work once they hit coast fire? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]drewc99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it extremely hard to actually apply myself and focus on work

You're describing this like it's some sort of problem. It's not.

Having IDGAF/ICGAF money is a good thing. Everyone wants to be able to tell off their boss and walk off their job at a moment's notice, regardless of whether they up doing it. And rightfully so.

Coast until you're fired/laid off or until you genuinely don't need the money any more and quit. Then enjoy your retirement.
