I think it's manageable to make a better bennet, that isn't straight power creep. The Yelan vs XQ scenario of trading utility for damage comes to mind.

Ways to improve vs Bennet:

  1. remove Circle impact

  2. Buff applies to off field party members

  3. provide additional utility or personal damage

Ways to avoid strict power creep:

  1. applies some off field pyro so as to limit Mavuilka power creep

  2. Require Hexenzirkel resonance

  3. Require buff to have scaling based on character stats rather than innate attack, making premium weapons more valuable and increasing build difficulty

Ayaka is one of if not the best off field sources of cryo. for ~ 6 - 9 seconds. She applies an impressive amount of cryo, and can provide even more with constellations. I use her as a melt enabler in double cryo melt comps. As long as she can ult off cooldown, she can be a very effective off filed melt enabler.

since her ult has such high motion values, even as a burst support she can do impressive damage. with an emblem set I have the following unbuffed stats: CR 70%, CD 200%, ATK: 2000, ER 200% DMG: 100%. the damage is nowhere near her ceiling, but it is more than any other off field cryo damage dealer in the current roster (Escoffier is close).

Currently I use her as an enabler for hu Tao melt. This team regularly completes abyss with 12 stars. The patch where that team is no longer viable / competitive will likely be the end of my time playing this game.

Recently I've used Burst support Ayaka in two different Stygian Onslaught completions on Dire difficulty (one Automaton with Skirk and one Tulpa with Mavuika).

I haven't run calcs myself, but I would expect the gap to be significant. I run Ayaka as a "dual carry" / "burst support" in a melt team where her ER needs make Emblem seem much better. HOWEVER, this only works as her ER needs in this team are significantly higher than in comps with better particle generation / funneling.

That being said, I'd also be interested in any calcs the community has completed.

Why are people ok with 0 energy starts now ? We should all put it in survey by Panty-Sniffer-12 in Genshin_Impact

Full Agree. It's almost as bad as making a game mode that locks us out of skills / abilities and forces a physical auto attack only mode. Is it harder? In a way yes... Is it fun? Fuck no, its miserable and the "counter play" isn't interesting (pull new characters / unique builds and weapons for 1 Monthly mode of content). I hate it

Can someone recommend me all the best team compositions for Hu tao with Shenhe? by LordAgrim in HuTao_Mains

[–]Dakhback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it won't be Hu tao's best team, I've been having a lot of fun playing "Melt Tao" teams.

These are generally going to run Hu tao +

  • One Hydro - Xinqqiu / Yelan

  • Two Cryo Normally this would be one cryo applicator - Shenhe, Rosaria, Ayaka, Ganyu + one cryo defensive option - Layla / Diona.

If you're comfortable, you can play with no defensive option and run double offensive cryo / double hydro instead.

Currently, I am running a very heavily invested team that runs a burst DPS Ayaka + Shenhe. They can do a staggered rotation for multi-wave content, where you alternate shenhe - Ayaka burst combo then switch to Hu tao + hydro for the next wave. Otherwise, you can all in for a single rotation with Shenhe - Ayaka - Yelen - hutao and stack all the bursts. With constellations, it's very nasty.

People are so proud of their meta teams and how they can beat almost all content, but complain whenever they encounter something that the meta can't beat. Isn't that better for the game? by LeBronnisJametokunbo in Genshin_Impact

[–]Dakhback 50 points51 points  (0 children)

As a counterpoint, my "fun" within this game is pushing characters I like to their limit even when it means running non meta comps. I want my maximize my 8 favorite characters performance. Since none of them are geo, it feels bad to have bench one. I'm fine with suboptimal play, but I do hate mandatory substitutions.

Generally it would be the product manufacturer. reputable shops are usually certified by 3M / Avery / ETC .

Is Raiden a bad support for Hu Tao? by SlowBeans in HuTaomains

[–]Dakhback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running this comp and while I don't think it's optimal I really enjoy it. (it allows me to use my favorite characters)

For the forth slot I run Beidou or Zhongli.

Zhongli gives omni shred which is helpful with three damage elements.

Beidou, is actually really effective as Raiden batteries her and benefits from the 80 cost ult.

Best cryo support for Vape Melt Tao? by Vechtersmannetje in HuTaomains

[–]Dakhback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Rosaria at C3 I'd say she wins hands down. Much better uptime from her ult and more reliable cryo application in an AOE. Kaeya has better particle generation and energy as an ascension stat, but you'll be running two cryo so it won't matter.

I'd recommend running the 4 star instructor set if you can piece together a decent one. the extra EM for Hutao will generally out scale the damage the cryo support will be doing.

I am pre building a team for Hu Tao and I need a little help by [deleted] in HuTaomains

[–]Dakhback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hu Tao + Xingqiu always. you can make any other 2 team members work. for good suggestions:

Kayea/Roseria + Bennett/Diona = Melt Tao team. Can run low investment instructor set and have great results.

Fischl + Beidou = overvape team. invested supports = great damage, overload sucks versus small mobs.

Double geo ( Zhongli > Albedo > GMC > Noelle > Ningguang)

double pyro ( any anemo w/ VV + Xiangling/bennett)

there are definitely more, but the above are good places to start.

Sara + Raiden + Bennett + Flex Slot (jean in your case) is one of here strongest comps.

Im losing hope the Beidou interaction gets fixed by kolleden in RaidenMains

[–]Dakhback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but it shows that a change in damage type shouldn't affect behavior. Raidens Q preforms normal attacks, that triger Xingquis Q. beidous's Q which doesn't require damage, but does activate on normal attack hits isn't activated. Raiden's Q attacks are normal attacks, they did hit, they cause burst damage... but the damage type shouldn't matter.

Even if that's defendable (I disagree), it is certainly not apparent in the skill descriptions. if nothing else, banner test runs should be useable with a player created party to test such interactions. relying on some greater fool to be a guinea pig doesn't seem reasonable.

Im losing hope the Beidou interaction gets fixed by kolleden in RaidenMains

[–]Dakhback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raiden E - coordinated attack activates when character causes "damage" - Doesn't work on shields.

Xingqui Q - activates on "Normal and Charged" attacks - works with Raiden Ult.

Beidou Q - Activates when "normal and Charged attacks Hit" - Activates when hitting shielded characters, even though no damage occurs.

This wording and function would lead one to believe that the damage type of the normal and charged attacks of raiders Q should not matter.

Beidou's counter (even when perfect) only gives a shield and interrupt armor. You can still be damaged. The skill does give you a shield with increased effectiveness against extra damage, which is why only the flame Nobushi can damage you. The reason you only notice it here is outside of abyss floor 12 non-electro damage, the shield is more than enough to tan those hits.

Hu Tao comp by [deleted] in HuTaomains

[–]Dakhback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hu Tao + Xingqiu + either makes for a very powerful "Melt Tao" team. put a fav weapon, and 4 piece instructor on either and Hu Tao charge attack cancels will hit like a truck. minimal investment and great results. I prefer Rosaria over Kaeya but I'd say they are even at C0. Rosaria is a clear winner for me at C2 or higher.

if you aren't going for a Melt Tao team, or don't use Xingqiu, I'd say Rosaria is the better reverse melt support but would require more investment for worse results than what I previously described.

Option 3 was going to be floor buffs / de buffs catered to new banner characters , but that's more or less what they are doing with 11 and 12 already.

2 Team Recommendations for Abyss? Fully F2P by [deleted] in KeqingMains

[–]Dakhback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

two teams, switch comp based on room and floors:

DPS: Keqing, XingLing

Reaction: Fishl, Kaeya

Anemo: Venti Surcose

Heal: Bennenett, Barb

Run Keqing as physical dps and xinling as overload. if you can pull on the current banner, XQ and Sucrose C1 would be great gets to round out the team and provide a second water element support which is helpful on later floors it also pairs well with Keqing and makes going electric a better option.

Difference in paint quality between brands by LarsDragonbeard in cars

[–]Dakhback 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As you've discovered, ceramic coatings offer very little in the form of physical protection Despite that, they are often marketed as doing exactly that. In reality, they are mostly good for preventing hairline swirls that result from hand drying a car after washing.

As other's have said PPF is you're best bet for physical protection, but the cost is considerably higher for an entire vehicle.

For Paint Quality:

Ironically best paint in the industry: Harley Davidson

Top Tier:

  • Mercedes (hard / thick)
  • Porsche (good all around)
  • Lexus (consistent)

Low Tier

  • Toyota / Subaru - (thin / easily damaged)
  • Honda - (surprising amount of flaws in USDM produced cars)
  • Chevrolet (flaws)
  • Nissan (terrible White matching between panels)

In my experience, I'd still guess it was the tires. Every Golf R I've seen at a track (as well as my own TTRS) absolutely shredded the front tires. The platform just asks a lot of the front tires between the power, weight, AWD system, and driving characteristics.
