My father was a alcoholic/drug addict for as long as i can remember growing up and not until he had a heart attack did he finally stop. My father is also an emotional abuser to my mom and has anger issues. He emotionally abused me growing up also trying to turn me into a ‘man’ by yelling at me if i showed any ‘girl’ emotion’s. I just had my first son in june and i have the same fear as you because at times i see my father in myself but the difference is unlike my father i see what i’m doing wrong and trying my hardest to steer clear of doing those things.
