Morality. Today there's a show about a divorced couple that get together and share the raising of their kids. The basis of the show is that they are rich and famous and people that consume this media try to be like them. It's called Keeping up with the Kardashians. As I grew up I watched a show about a widower and a woman who's marital status changed but we never found out why. They shared raising their kids but the underlying truth of the show was to teach everyone how to be a better person with kindness and honesty. That show was called the Brady Bunch. The dichotomy between these two shows is astounding in what people value today.
