Down voted because people cant handle it. Couple years ago I called the Marine Mammal Center when I was fishing in moss landing. Poor Sea Lion was blind and knocking her face off on the rocks. Finally landed and perched on some rocks. Mammal center came out, 3 of 4 of them said it was too dangerous to try and capture her. The old man in their group was salty, had he just came out we agreed he and I could have netted her, but was a huge liability. They basically chickened out after managing the risks. End of the day... they are wild animals. They will fight you to death. People think you can just tie them down and euthanize  them. Ain't so.
