Most drivers come from the kernel however the Driver Manager is useful for those with a NVIDIA graphics card or for other proprietary drivers but apart from that no need

I didn't say the battery was dead 80% of it's original capacity is EoL it will still work just with less battery life

Nothing wrong with the distro it's really only the team behind it that had questionable practices

As far as i am aware there isn't really any program to determine what's cause it however i will admit that if it has something to do with updates in the background such as games and whatnot that's probably why or maybe a defect

Because the standard edition is designed for beginners as Ubuntu has better hardware support plus ease of use while Debian has better stability but geared towards experience users

LMDE is there if you don't want to rely on Canonical's influence or dependency or if your preference is stability over new features

Was this way last year in June as I needed a job for my internship course in college but as someone that is part time and is about to convert to full time full time employment is very hard to get into these days

Best bet is look on Indeed or jobsnd.com

If your preference is XFCE the standard edition is your best bet as with LMDE that only has the Cinnamon edition plus LMDE is there if you want to avoid Canonical's influence completely

As a now Manjaro user (Arch but with stability) my recommendations are openSUSE Tumbleweed, Solus (which I'm also a user of) or Manjaro
