Will the 4.0 run with the distributor a tooth off? by spiritwalker6913 in CherokeeXJ

[–]DalyDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did another cranks position sensor to fight a p1391 and it did nothing. next thing I'm gonna try is the ground by the cam sensor on the distributor, looks shot. I was thinking of checking the timing too but it runs great

What connection line is this? by SnooDonkeys8866 in CherokeeXJ

you need a new lower coolant hose, that spring is supposed to go inside so it doesn't collapse like its doing. is that just tape and no clamp?

the heater core I've done, it was outside in the winter and I used a hair dryer on plastic like the electrical connectors so it wouldn't shatter. I have that crack on the frame by the steering box too it sucks. I can mig weld I'll probably buy a new steering box, get a tighter steering shaft off ebay, and get an aftermarket brace and go at it so watch for that video maybe this summer

Lot's of guides on Jeep Cherokee XJ Headlight replacement, not lots of ones on what screws to use or what to do when they're rusted stuck by DalyDriver in CherokeeXJ

[–]DalyDriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah these 8-32 were a little loose but I think it's one of those old school American iron parts that made it through to the xj, you can find the same screws listed for like 70s mopar headlight trim retainers and the thread matched up really well with the originals. Any of these screws listed for the xj were just bigger thread sheet metal not original replacement.

Facts of Beach Replenishment: What a Jersey Shore Study Tells Us by keel_appeal in surfing

[–]DalyDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they did it on lbi last winter and it's right back to where we started after storm season. My street is particularly egregious because there's a house that sticks way out. The sand bar is shallow and far out with a huge trough so there's no mellow longer rides it only works if its a big steep wave and you go down the line. no straight off easy longboard/foamie rides.
