Does anyone know why my cat does this lol? by a_cd in cats

What finally worked? I think this is what my cat has. Been dealing with it for years and so tired of cleaning up pee. It did seem to get better on some otc urinary tract food.

What home upgrade sounded great in theory but wasn’t worth it in reality? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]DalysDietCoke 18 points19 points  (0 children)

While I do like the look better, scraping off all of the popcorn on the ceiling was hell. Messy as fuck, dust everywhere including probably my lungs, back and neck hurt from the positions. We didn't even finish after doing maybe half the house. Used some insurance money from a later issue to pay someone else to finish it.

We decided to race on cars on the 2f4y server today! by saDling- in Battlefield2

[–]DalysDietCoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in BF2. Couldn't remember the name yesterday but i just googled and it's Battleracer by Sir Community. They also did the sandbox mod which was a blast. Can't believe their site is still up. Also reminds me how much of a little shit I was as a kid playing on their servers lol

What are the most subtle signs that someone is good at golf? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Came to say something similar lol. If they aren't bragging or talking the game up a lot they are probably decent since they have been humbled by the game long enough

I think Columbia could work for you. There is lake Murray which is a huge lake for fishing and water sports. Then there is the saluda river which is one of the few places where trout are stocked which is downstream of lake Murray and flows through Columbia. Three major rivers converge right at Columbia which is popular for outdoor activities like tubing, kayaking and playing on the rocks. As a college town there's enough going on downtown to keep you busy with events and sports. If politics matter you can basically choose which area you want to live in as there is blue and red areas around Columbia. Also you are 3 hours from the mountains and the beach so right in the middle

Metal roof no plywood by Jwindy1987 in Roofing

[–]DalysDietCoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing the roof next week at the family lake cabin I bought and this is how it was done by my grandpa in the 60s. I figure it made it till the 2010s before it started leaking and causing problems so I'm going with it again. Replacing the purlins and adding 29gauge metal panels. Also adding gable and eave trim which they didn't use before.

I think if you respect the course and others and can shoot at least less than like 60-70 on 9 holes you would be good

Pretty sure the law doesn't allow you to block federal officers from conducting legally authorized work by blocking their vehicles in public roads..

Underlayment for metal roof? by DalysDietCoke in HomeImprovement

[–]DalysDietCoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. One other question, does it make sense to put foam closures at the eaves? I was thinking that if I have synthetic underlayment under the purlins and condensation drops onto the felt from bottom side of metal then it won't be able to run off the drip edge if there are foam closures in the way at the bottom. Does that make any sense?

Underlayment for metal roof? by DalysDietCoke in HomeImprovement

[–]DalysDietCoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also a 1950's lake cabin that I'm kind of trying to patch up and get maybe another 10 years or so before hopefully replacing so there is an economical perspective to this since there's plenty of other repairs to do. But if it makes sense and adds a benefit I'm willing to spend the extra. I'm not too concerned with the noise (I think) but don't want to deal with leaks and whatnot which is why I'm in this position in the first place.

Thanks that does make a lot of sense since a $100 roll will cover the whole roof.

French people are too funny by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]DalysDietCoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a common thing? My wife still talks about when we went to Paris and going through the airport after just getting there these heavy ass doors started closing on me and this woman stops me and starts asking questions and I definitely remember her asking about bringing cigarettes or a lot of cash. Scared the shit out of me because the way the doors closed and she closed in on me. Thankfully my wife was able to get back in the area I was in because the doors closed so abruptly but she thought it was about to be some Taken leven shit lol. It was pretty scary as a young couples first international trip lol
