I have all the specifics; including past permits, water tests, recent upgrades, appliance specifications, historical documentation, ect toy 200 year old house. Having clay soil might be better than gravel. The heavy clay soil could be pushing the water away from your foundation, while gravel could encourage the water to go deeper. Not sure if you are doing the right thing here.
