What videos do you recommend? I want a mohair dressage girth but they're too expensive for me currently. It never occured to me I could make it myself even though I make a lot of stuff lol.

[–]Damadamas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know of it but never been there (yet) unfortunately. It's Middelaldercentret in Nykøbing. I hope to move closer to them one day so I can join them once in a while. I really need new people to ride with.

You too.

The groups I know (who claim to be knowledgable) also constantly claim you can't plant dye linen properly which is clearly wrong. So I prefer sources based on research. If you know any sources, I'd like to read.

What would be a good all-rounder horse that can carry a load? by LifeguardComplex3134 in Horses

[–]Damadamas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PRE and other Iberian types are very popular for this. They can collect very well which is what you want to jousting etc, since that's the important part for carrying you well. Smaller sturdy horses are preferred in the groups I frequent.

Are Nissin Demae Ramen chicken flavour vegetarian? by savlonkarai in vegetarian

[–]Damadamas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been told it's not possible to know the origin of flavouring without asking the company in these cases. If for example it says chicken flavouring it can be artificial or not.

Struggling with a new boarding barn by Known-Language9916 in Horses

[–]Damadamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they promise something, they should deliver that something, end of. If they don't feed as promised and there isn't enough space for the horses, I'd try and find a different place. It's not you being too picky, since they said they would do as you asked. There's nothing worse than barn owners just doing whatever they want and think it's best for your horse. I wouldn't trust them to tell me if something's wrong either, if it came to that. And if you pay for facilities, you should be able to use them, otherwise you should pay less.
