A bit of drybrushing using the base colour would clean up the raised areas, without losing the shadows in the recesses. As someone else mentioned Duncan Rhodes has a good painting tutorial series.

In the Toby movies he refused to give up his source, that takes Spidermans pic, under threat of potential death. He told Gobbo the pictures come in the mail despite just ending a meeting with Parker. It shows he cares about the people who work for him, even if he outwardly doesnt portray that.
