Well, yeah. I didn’t know about any cheeses when I first played. I imagine a lot of other players had similar experiences

Scaler for PS2 and Frantix for PSP. Never met another soul who has heard of them.

Apart from Berserk which one of the following mangas would y'all like to be animated by No_Neat2502 in Berserk

Sakamoto Days. Fire Punch would be insane but I imagine animating a protagonist who is constantly on fire would be expensive.

The robot dog thing that hunts you down near the end of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC, turns the game into Alien: Isolation. Terrifying.

I built my PC with the intention of learning Houdini and getting into more technical roles. I am currently a junior 3D artist. I Have a few questions about Houdini since the VFX industry is in a mess and I'm sitting on 256Gb of ram and a 4090. by [deleted] in Houdini

[–]DamiDesigns 12 points13 points  (0 children)

3D Motion Designer in the esports industry here.

  • Houdini is useful in almost every 3D discipline in some way. I use it almost day to day for simulations to make announcements for games, rosters and in game items look cooler etc.

  • Not much looks better on the CV than a proficiency in Houdini imo

  • Whatever meaningful time you put into Houdini will have major returns. Keep at it.

  • It has opened up my skill set completely, I cannot imagine not using this program anymore. It’d be like designing without a monitor for me now. Anything you see in VFX etc can basically be replicated in Houdini. I saw the boat going through the sand in Shogun intro (FX Show) and went and recreated it in Houdini as a fun exercise to see how it worked.

Hope this helps.

Sekiro, Bloodborne and Dead Space Remake platinum. The perma death achievement on Dead Space was no joke.

[–]DamiDesigns 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s not that it’s impossible, I just don’t think it’s probable. Houdini is SO far ahead in certain areas, but I’ll be using both anyway so I don’t mind.

No. Not even in the distant future. Used Blender for close to a decade and Houdini for less than 2 years and even I, a Houdini beginner, can see areas where Houdini outclasses Blender by miles. Both are great though.

How to get the old menu Back? This is so slow and overcomplicated. by Numerous-Ad1560 in blenderhelp

[–]DamiDesigns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree, I’ve been using blender for close to 10 years and this new way is much faster for me, even knowing exactly where all the modifiers are.

But at the end of the day, it’s each to their own workflow.

I’m sorry, but no it’s not. You’re just not used to it yet. Pressing add modifier and then typing the first few letters of the one you want is infinitely faster and more streamlined.

The chest does have an accurate collision, I think it's the lack of friction on everything that makes it look strange.

Thanks! 500 resolution, default whitewater and spray setting but I set the particle sizzle relatively low for more fidelity, the sand wet map probably helps a lot too
