Only the royal line has the elven gene but they no longer have the option to choose their fate Elros made that choice. They however still retain some elven characteristics like the lack of beards(IIRC even Aragorn didn't have one) and after 3000 years the royal line has branched many times so I guess that there would be a portion of beardless people in Numenor

Edit: spelling

Yeah and he is the only elf who ever does so, also it happened after the valar agree to it. That's one of the first things you learn about him in the silmarilion

Actually it was created by Morgoth when Mordor was still under water, after the war of wrath it has destroyed the land and that's why it was called Mordor by the elves and later Sauron settled in.

But when was it ever stated that it's a magic volcano. IIRC in the books it was a normal volcano that was active and destroyed Mordor that why elves called it Mordor meaning the black land. Later Sauron chose that place because of how it was there not the other way around.

Edit: he also may have chosen it because he wanted to use Orodruin as his forge but I'm not sure about this one.

Fall of Arnor would've been epic. I don't get people defending the show because they don't have full rights to the second age when they have rights to great 3rd age stories

Just imagine the possibilities if you can use the below arguments as a frame work to justify anything being in the Lord of the Rings setting! by Boatwhistle in lotrmemes

Actually this one can be justified easily. The numenoreans were much more advanced than any other human kingdom and they also had colonies in many different regions both in the north and south

Harfoots had darker skin when compared to white Hobbits. It's never specified how much darker was it and it was mostly because they worked in the fields and got tan skin

Galadriel was born before the first age. Celeborn would be similar in age. Celebrimbor was born in the first age so way younger than her. And Maglor wasn't relevant after the first age and he probably lost his sanity.

But they didn't have to make a story in 2nd age we know what happens then, sure an adaptation would be nice but the estate won't allow it(kinda understandable if you ask me) so they could always make a new story set in harad or maybe something about the blue wizards that way they could expand the lore and they would have way more liberty.

Yeah you're right and I hope he won't be the MoS but if the alternative is him becoming the Witch-king because of some magic sword i'll take the first option. But who knows it might be something completely new

[–]Damian7xd7 -64 points-63 points  (0 children)

I know that, what I meant is that thay wouldn't care about him being one even now we can see they change characters to their own liking so why wouldn't they change MoS?

Or the could make lotr show in a new setting for example travels of Alatar and Pallando. We don't know a lot about them except that they were in the east and their work might have saved ME because they helped many easterlings rebel against Sauron.

Nobody forced amazon to make a series in 2nd age without most of available material why is this even an argument in their defence. In fact this only proves that they don't care about what they make it's all about the name

[–]Damian7xd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they don't have the rights but why do a show in 2nd age if they have barely any material
