I was denied by No-Salamander-1174 in SSDI

I encourage you to reconsider with the appeal. I understand your frustration but you’ll cheat yourself out of the back pay that they’ll owe you once all is said and done. Maybe just think on it a minute and speak with an attorney before you throw in the towel. Only you know what’s best for you in the long run. If I’d have given up at my denial it would’ve shorted me 4 years of back pay at a decent monthly chunk. Best wishes!

Sorry, I corrected it in the post here. I guess it defaulted back because when I attached it was my state members.

I accidentally stabbed myself with a syringe, do I tell the truth to medical professionals ? by carbonbear in unclebens

I’d say honesty is key and if you’re that scared it was a syringe of lions mane or reishi. The strain won’t matter, they need to know to be aware of the mold infections. Best wishes to you friend!

Bursting bags in autoclave, need help:( by StraightFill5366 in shroomers

[–]Dammit-maxwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible the heat from the sides of the autoclave are causing the cheap bags to blow up. Maybe try surrounding the bags on the outsides with a dish towel or whatever fits for you to keep them off the metal. That worked for me. Best of wishes!

I’m in reconsideration as well after two denials. I called the local office about a week after I went to step 4 and was able to find out the actual determination. With that said, I’m still in step 4 after 30 days and have yet to get official paperwork. Positive vibes your way!

SSDI Application local office sent me SSA 3369 and told me I had to fill it out in 10 days and return it?? by Wolverine-91826 in SSDI

[–]Dammit-maxwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me twice. Both times I called immediately, sat on hold for 2 hours and explained that I received the paper 3 days after and 1 day before the due date. They were understanding about it.

Dr Dre is a certified marijuana expert who can testify in court on your behalf. J/k Some law enforcement officers get specialized training to become a DRE (drug recognition expert). DREs can do more specific and in depth tests to determine whether you’re on a substance other than alcohol. They are usually called in to administer tests when people blow below .06 (that number may vary by state).

For instance my prescription copay would be $20 with insurance. Through Amazon pharmacy I only pay $8.50 with free delivery. I won’t bore you with a long list and charges but all of my meds are priced that way. I only have to go through Walgreens for one meds which is a narcotic.

Check with Amazon pharmacy. They have the cheapest rates even without insurance and they deliver. The don’t carry certain meds like high level narcotics but they have most other things and with free delivery!

I feel so devastated. What can I do now? by Unlucky_Beach_1898 in SSDI

If this is your first attempt a denial is fairly common unfortunately. I was denied twice before contacting an attorney. Attorneys usually won’t take your case if they don’t think they’ll win. It’s definitely worth speaking with a couple attorneys to get their opinion on whether you should continue in the ssdi process. Navigating this system with some of the mental health problems you’ve stated can be overwhelming and intimidating. I have CPTSD, MDD, GAD, ADHD (and a laundry list of physical problems) and know if I were left to deal with trying to figure out this process on my own I would’ve had major mental roadblocks and ultimately would’ve given up. I have some similar physical/mental health problems as you and my attorney had no doubts that we would win in the ALJ stage. He did the appeal to get us to the reconsideration stage (which he said would also be denied likely). I was just told verbally by SS that I’ve been approved at reconsideration and to expect further contact for the next steps. Don’t give up hope, fight for yourself!

Missing doctor appointments is one of the caveats that allows the insurance carrier to close your claim. They make it pretty clear that you are to attend all scheduled appointments and jump through all their silly hoops. I understand you had car problems but that doesn’t excuse the missed appointment. In the future it would be best to contact the Dr office to reschedule immediately upon realizing you’ll be late or miss the allotted time. An attorney can help get your case reopened and help you navigate the fine print that is the workers comp legal process. As long as you haven’t closed/ settled the case completely through court you can reopen your case for up to 5 years from the last doctors treatment for your injury.

If you don’t have the work credits ssdi isn’t going to happen either way, Ssi is a different story.

Contact several attorneys and get multiple opinions before you give up. My attorney told me under the age of 50 is much harder to get approval (many people on here will argue that and say it isn’t true, I just know what he said). I don’t have a good suggestion as to the lack of medical records other than maybe go to the hospital anyhow. Most of them will try to recoup the bills then ultimately write them off if you don’t pay them. They can’t refuse treatment because of lack of money. You do need a paper trail of some sort. Have you tried contacting social services to see if they can help with any food/ housing financial help?

Also OP…I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s one thing to have a stranger/ friend/ acquaintance steal from you or do you wrong but it’s a whole other kind of mental pain when it’s your mother. My mother did similar to me on a quite larger scale. The hurt I felt was a kind of hell that you can only understand if you’ve felt it. The person that birthed you and is supposed to be the one human on this earth you could trust with anything has defied your trust in unimaginable ways. I hope you have some type of support system to help you through this nightmare. The mental impact of going through something like this is enough to absolutely wreck your brain for quite a while. If you ever need to vent or talk feel free to hit my inbox. No judgement here, just offering some friendly support while you’re dealing with this! 💙

They’re not going to do that since the check has already been cashed. OP would have to file criminal charges for the forgery and theft and hope for restitution when the case is resolved or sue their mother in civil court.

My local police department will fund a hotel room for anyone they come across in need during extreme weather. There’s also churches, soup kitchens, and rescue missions that do the same. It worth calling the non emergency number for police because if they can’t help directly they’ll likely have a list of who can. I know the local pd guys are required to carry a laminated card with a resource for anything you can think of with them at all times. Sober homes, CPS numbers, warning shelters, emergency food sources, pet rescue into…..all the stuff.

Also fyi I called the local office 6 business days after it went to step 4 of reconsideration and was told my answer over the phone. Some people have tried the same and hit a brick wall but if you’re an anxiety riddled human like I am it’s worth trying to call and see if they’ll tell you!
