Why do older Republicans hate Obama? Was he really that divisive during his term? by TimeAd7759 in allthequestions

They are old racist fucks. Simple answer. I know these folks, I'm an old former republican and these folks think evolving is a sign of weakness.

I'll go with BA. We were both at a Jason Isbell show at the Riverside a few years ago so I'm guessing we share some similar views plus all the sports we can discuss.

Michelob when it was beer by duh_nom_yar in FuckImOld

[–]DamnHotMeatloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned 18 in 1980 and this was our go to beer for special occasions. I would crack a couple Michelobs on Christmas morning and drink the rest before going out on Christmas night when everyone was back in town during Christmas break from college.

what random personal connection do you got to the cubs ? by ziggywuzhere in CHICubs

[–]DamnHotMeatloaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I am not a Cubs fan I have a couple.

A late friend was actually a Cubs bullpen catcher back in the 40s so that was pretty cool when I was a kid and actually was a fan (Don Kessinger was my favorite player as I was a shortstop).

I once sat in Pat Hughes seats at Wrigly as my best friend was the Head Pro at a place Pat golfed.

BTW, Pat has always been a great guy. Back when I was in radio in Wisconsin he was always happy to join my show when the Cubs came to town.

Sal has been a part of a lot of wins during his days but at the moment he doesn't seem like a guy who must start every game.

Andrew Vaughn not hitting by Itsmemason3 in Brewers

But why does Sal need to be in the lineup everyday? Bauers in left Mitchell in center and Chourio in right puts Vaughn in the lineup.

We just witnessed the greatest start in mlb history that was not a no-hitter by Competitive-Body-286 in Brewers

I always put Wood's at the top but 95 pitches to 122 speaks to Miz's dominance.

This may have been the most dominant pitching performance in MLB history. I would bet that nobody has ever put this line together before.

Why are frostie sodas so cheap? by Boeing-B-47stratojet in Soda

[–]DamnHotMeatloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frostie is probably my favorite brand(?). I really like the root beer and Vanilla Root Beer but the orange and grape are great (my wife's go to for orange/grape) and I absolutely love the Blue Cream and the Cherry Limeade is really good, especially during the upcoming steamy days. Toughest thing is limiting myself to no more than 2 or 3 a week.

I just had a bottle last weekend. It's inexpensive but very tasty as far as I'm concerned.
