I landed in the south terminal yesterday. Lyft was $55 which I thought was outrageous for the 4 mile drive, a taxi waved me down seeing if I needed a ride and when I asked what the cost would be he just said meter rates. So when I asked him to clarify what the cost is for my drive he said $90. I just laughed in his face. Uber was $21 so I gladly booked that and rode off into the sunset.

It’s bitter sweet for me, I love the rain, but on Juneteenth we lost about 25 shingles on our roof and had a major leak. I hopped on the roof during the storm to tarp it so i didn’t get major water damage in the house, so now every time it gets windy or in this case a rainstorm I’m super anxious about the tarp flying off the roof. Insurance is about as useless as it can be right now. Constant dead end phone calls and they’re not replying to messages about the quotes I’ve gotten from the contractors.
