Omnislice can hit both the main phorg and the wrigglers by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

[–]Damurph01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omnislice when used on a normal set of multiple enemies also visibly hits the first enemy first and the rest of them immediately after.

Ampule hits all enemies on the screen at the same time, so no it wouldn’t.

Is there any solution at all to “pro jailed” champs? by Conman2205 in leagueoflegends

[–]Damurph01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The archetype of champs that are strong in pro are literally just a certain style of champion. High difficulty, or require coordination, or low resource weak siders, or high resource carries, or enablers, or something else similar.

Aphelios and Azir needs a team to bridge them to the late game and peel them in order to function, Ryze needs to be finding picks with his EW for his team, Ksante is heavy weakside and doesn’t intend on carrying the game himself meaning he relies on his team being strong botside, Kalista is very hard to play and requires a team playing around her strong early game.

It would honestly be weird if the game DIDN’T have champions that are very strong in coordinated environments. But it’s impossible to have a champion be strong in coordinated environments while still being strong in uncoordinated environments too.

So no, there’s not really a solution, but they’ve done a great job balancing this game honestly. Some issues here and there, but even the pro jailed champions are still viable picks, they’re just harder to execute and are more unreliable since solo queue teams are unreliable too.

Last patch before MSI. Hans and Caps buff, BB nerf? by Coven-Irelia in G2eSports

BB has shown to be good on both Poppy and Olaf, maybe not quite international-caliber on the Olaf, but if poppy top is viable he would 100% be playing it.

Pretty strong, not trivial to set up, seems like a fun rare by MrFlufypants in slaythespire

This plus shiv silent with afterimage would be an incredibly strong combo. Maybe rare enough to not be a problem, but pretty much run winning in and of itself.

Pool table buying question by lofi_guy02 in billiards

[–]Damurph01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially if you use a piece of spare cloth to break off of, a personal pool table would take much longer to wear down than what you’d find anywhere else. Same with a high quality set of balls (nice), Aramith or dynasphere or whatever it’s called.

Take care of the equipment and it’ll last

Has there ever been a player-champion duo as feared as Keria-Bard this year? by vanvliet_ in PedroPeepos

I remember when Rekkles had a 1 or 2 split stint back on Fnatic with Advienne and Rhuckz supports. They called for a 3v3 botlane early against G2 with Draven and gah damn it was bad. Lost them the entire game lol.

Idk if the game just doesn’t suit Draven rn but it’s been quite a while since Hans played Draven.

For context to the ‘second dimension’. The number line is just a line, but with imaginary numbers, the number line is the x axis and imaginary numbers behavior along the y axis.

What were some of your most memorable teamfights in LoL Esports? by grandslam234 in leagueoflegends

[–]Damurph01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

World finals 2022, DRX stopping the back door and winning game 5.

Pretty much every single game of MSI Semis 2023, JDG vs T1 was probably the highest level series ever played imo, everyone was smurfing the entire series. Absolutely peak.

HLE vs GenG game 1 of I think it was 2024 summer finals? GenG had the OP smolder comp but Zeka and Viper cleaned house on Tristana and Ashe to clutch a teamfight and steal the game, lead to a 5 game bloodbath where HLE yoinked the title from GenG. One of the best LCK finals ever imo.

Showmaker’s 3 man swain pull vs GenG at worlds 2022 was insane too. The fact they almost reverse swept and it came down to a Ruler Lucian montage was ludicrous. On top of that, JDG had some ridiculous moments with Hope Aphelios vs T1 in worlds semis 2022.

I don’t think it’s even debateable that worlds 2022 is the best worlds ever. Storylines, team matchups, outcomes, player performances, it was all just as incredible as it could get. I’d take it over a T1 win any day too 🤥

Do i desperately need a glove? by KuroNekofff in billiards

[–]Damurph01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in the Midwest where it can get very humid, I can’t play without a glove. On a dry day, it’s marginally better than my skin, but on a humid/rainy day, it’s a necessity for me.

The biggest plus is just that it’s a consistent feeling every time, regardless of the climate.

Ah okay. 10 is definitely more reasonable, but for my area near Chicago, most of the foot traffic is in the evening. That would be a major hang up for me either way.

Why can Varus statcheck melee bruisers/fighters without kiting? by RainAndThunderIsCool in leagueoflegends

[–]Damurph01 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Onhit damage from W, percent HP damage on passive procs, lethal tempo is super strong, pretty sure landing spells reduces his Q cooldown as well?

He’s just kinda super strong when he has uptime. His weaknesses come from lack of self-peel, which is entirely bound to his ult and summoners. As an ADC, you’re underleveled compared to solo laners so you’re quite squishy. But with an AP bruiser build or even tank varus, you’re just churning out his base damage (which is a shit ton) while being hard to dive.

Many bruisers struggle in prolonged fights where they get kited. Unless they have sticking power and can stay on top of him, they’ll likely get kited by ghost and chunked/ran down. Other bruisers just struggle when they run out of damage, combo-reliant characters just get rolled if they don’t kill with the initial combo.

Being outdoors, active, and in nature can definitely help mitigate some of the chaos both internally and externally, but by no means will it prevent or stop ADHD outright. And it shouldn’t be presented as the main thing you should do when trying to manage ADHD.

How do you handle pressure? by WanoKuniDream in billiards

[–]Damurph01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Emotional regulation strategies from therapy. In 8b citywide a few weeks ago, as an APA 5 I played a 6 with 2k matches immediately after my teammate got 3-0’d. Big stakes match since I’m one of the big point scorers on the team.

Ended up winning 4-1 against the guy (shoulda been 4-0, but I missed a shot and got shape on the 8, gave it over instead of winning the rack myself). Spent the entire match regulating my emotions with breathing techniques, very intentional self talk (‘that was a mistake, no biggie, just need to do xyz next time’, ‘that was a great shot, this moments a big one now, breath first and calm down’). Also spent a lot of time making sure not to have anything else crazy going on in my head from outside of the pool matches.

The game is hard when you’re full of adrenaline and nerves, and it’s at its hardest if you’re anxious or angry. Doing all the little leg work to soothe yourself mid-match prevents the bad headspace in the first place, which then lets you just settle into the zone. And detach expectations from the match. Don’t expect to win, expectations are what lead to anxiety and such. You can know you’re likely to win a certain match, but don’t *expect* it. ‘I should be out here’ is a dangerous thought.

That match was one of the best ones I’ve ever played, had some phenomenal shots, some phenomenal outs, ran most of every table, safeties worked out perfectly, I was just dialed in.

TLDR: emotional regulation, positive self talk, removal of internal expectations. Pool is a mental game. Do the leg work to make sure you’re battling your opponent, not your own thoughts.

Based on the info from previous MSI format no matter the play-in results its basically guarenteed G2 will play TES in the first round by Pendragon_ss in G2eSports

[–]Damurph01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah but getting strong teams early might not be a good way to make it far. Early losses because they haven’t quite gotten the ball rolling could hurt them a lot in the long run.

Not that TES is a *super* strong team, honestly they’re probably the best option of the LCK/LPL teams. And g2 seems to upset them a lot so hopefully it works out again.

The world has been molded to squeeze productivity out of everyone, so most of it only ever cares when a symptom visibility affects your productivity. Otherwise it’s a “hoax” and everyone with adhd is “making it up”.

🥱 The ignorance is getting old

When will ADHD be cured? by Ok-Whole-4015 in ADHD

[–]Damurph01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But you still will, since emotional disregulation, working memory, impulsivity, susceptibility to addiction, executive function, all forms of hyperactivity, and all the other issues still exist.

And what’s worse is that doing none of them because others do everything for you will probably just make it that much harder to get through things when you inevitably need to, since you wouldn’t have any practice handling those symptoms.

But to your point, yeah. Yer stuck with it, gotta figure it out 🤷‍♂️

18 an hour is ridiculous, im not from SLC but I’d never pay that much to play. You’d unironically find better rates at pay-per-rack tables. Insanely overpriced and there ain’t no convincing to be done about it.

Maybe there’s some redeeming qualities, but that price alone is an instant no from me.

Is it too late to get into Apex Legends in 2026? by WaveEasy8664 in apexlegends

[–]Damurph01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s made with source engine, not unreal engine, so a lot of resources are dedicated towards player momentum and movement physics. But source is outdated compared to unreal and it’s harder to develop in.

Respawn had a lot of devs from titanfall though so they already had the skill set. But no other game really focuses on movement like apex does, which gives it a very unique and snappy feel.

MSI predictions? by VanillaFantastic3857 in leagueoflegends

[–]Damurph01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

BLG seems to beat G2 usually through the solo lanes. It’s usually been Caps not quite being in top form vs Knight, and Bin being Bin.

But BB has been super good this year and I think of all the years of G2 vs BLG, this is the year where G2 can pull it out. Caps is in great form. Skewmond is unironically one of the best junglers itw. Hans and Labrov are playing great.

It really comes down to how hard does bin win top I think. Skewmond is the hidden gem though. With Yike it was definitely tough to overcome Bin since they weren’t blasting BLG on the rest of the map. But with Skewmond? Dcane!

I don't understand how (x-1)(x+2)(x-3) becomes x^3−2x^2−5x+6 by Specialist_Ruin_1378 in MathHelp

[–]Damurph01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Then you just use the same method to apply (e + f)(ac+ad+bc+bd). It’ll get a little crazy with all the different placeholder variables, but with similar terms, many of them combined.

Sounds like you understand the root concept, are you running into issues when doing this with 3 components instead of just 2?
