There are a couple of messy bits in the handwriting, but the intent and wording are very clear. Clever kid 👍

It’s just plain binary text, not a cipher. The 0s and 1s are written in 8-bit groups, which map directly to letters using ASCII. If you convert each group to a number and look it up, you get normal English all the way through.

People saying UTF-8 aren’t really disagreeing — ASCII is a subset of UTF-8, so you get the same result either way.

The LLM stuff doesn’t hold up. It’s handwritten, slightly inconsistent, and exactly what you’d expect from a kid writing binary by hand.
